Top Ten Bollywood Films of 2012
So, we are into last few hours of 2012. Time has passed so fast this year, that we got little time to rethink on the passing good hindi movies of the year 2012. Though we are not critics based portal and anywhere in business of film awards, but as like last year, one to put up some films which left there mark in 2012.
There are a slot of films which did fantastically at the box office and critically acclaimed also. So, choosing Top Ten Performing Bollywood Movies of the year is near about impossible task for us. We had fights and arguments in our team and therefore before starting the Top Ten List, lets give special thanks to these films which just missed out on Top Ten List.
Those films which just missed by whisker in the Top Ten List of Addatoday are Jab Tak Hai Jaan (Starring - Shahrukh Khan, Katrina Kaif, Anushka Sharma), Talaash (Starring - Aamir Khan, Kareena Kapoor, Rani Mukerji), Bol Bachchan (Starring - Ajay Devgn, Abhishek Bachchan, Asin, Prachi), Son of Sardaar (Starring - Ajay Devgn, Sanjay Dutt, Sonakshi Sinha), Cocktail (Starring - Saif Ali Khan, Deepika Padukone, Diana Penty), Housefull 2 (Starring - Akshay Kumar, Asin, John Abraham, Riteish Deshmukh), English Vinglish (Starring - Sridevi) and Tere Naal Love Ho Gaya (Starring - Riteish Deshmukh, Genelia D'Souza).
Here are the list of Top Ten Performing Bollywood Films of 2012.
10. Paan Singh Tomar (Starring - Irrfan Khan, Mahie Gill). It is a biography on athlete converted dacait Paan Singh Tomar and Irrfan Khan played the character inch perfect.
9. Gangs Of Wasseypur 1&2 (Starring - Manoj Bajpai, Nawazuddin Siddiqui, Reema Sen, Richa Chadda, Huma Qureshi). It is a Anurag Kashyap show all the way and he showed cinematic brilliance with style and substance. Performance of Nawaz Siddiqui, Manoj Bajpai and Huma Qureshi is praiseworthy.
8. Ek Tha Tiger (Starring - Salman Khan, Katrina Kaif, Ranbir Shorey). This Tiger roared at the box office and went to become the biggest grosser of the year 2012 by few miles. Salman was at his usual best and Katrina supported him start to finish.
7. Agneepath (Starring - Hrithik Roshan, Sanjay Dutt, Rishi Kapoor, Priyanka Chopra). 'Vijay Dinanath Chauhan' the iconic name of yesteryear Agneepath was re-created by talented Hrithik Roshan with honesty. Sanjay Dutt playing 'Kancha' was volatile and terrifying.
6. Vicky Donor (Starring - Ayushmann Khurana, Yami Gautam). This small budgeted film with sweet romantic love story and a social message of Sperm Donation established itself in galaxy of film released in 2012 and touched our heart.
5. Rowdy Rathore (Starring - Akshay Kumar, Sonakshi Sinha). Akshay Kumar might have delivered his best acting till date with Rowdy Rathore. He played both the characters equally well. Film did rocking business at the box office and masses thronged to theater to watch this Rowdy doing his antics.
4. Dabangg 2 (Starring - Salman Khan, Sonakshi Sinha). Iconic Character Chulbul Pandey is back to theaters in 2012 and this time he is even more lovable then earlier. Salman Khan played 'Chulbul' character picture perfect to each frame and audiences just enjoyed him from start to finish of the film.
3. Barfi! (Starring - Ranbir Kapoor, Priyanka Chopra, Ileana D'Cruz). This emotional romantic love ride is thoroughly enjoyable and all the artist Ranbir, Priyanka and Ileana have given one of their best performance till date.
2. Kahaani (Starring - Vidya Balan). Kahani can easily be proud of being one of the all time best suspense thriller made in Bollywood. Vidya Balan played her character Vidya Bagchi exceptionally well and kudos must be given to the storyteller and whole team for such a superb product.
1. Oh My God (Starring - Paresh Rawal, Akshay Kumar). There are few films which made us sit to think about our social thinking process and has power to reform society with entertainment. One such product is OMG and Bollywood Box Office is thankful that such films are still made. It got brawny points from critics, but more importantly went to become one of the biggest grosser of the year also. Paresh Rawal as 'Kanji Bhai' and Akshay Kumar as 'Krishna God' were outstanding. Easily the best film of the year 2012. If this film doesn't get award then no other film deserves this year.
