I have a confession.

I loved Tashan.

I just keep saying it was a terrible film coz its the popular perception but I watched it the other day and the film was KICKASS!

And today, such brainless masala films are being hailed to the skies and working...had Tashan released today, I cant help but think it would have done so well.

It was a film made for single screen audiences, which were revived only post 2012 - Salman's Dabanng.

My favorite song, Tashan mein in the end credits.

The soundtrack, starcast, production values - Top notch.

LOL! If you had chosen a non-Kareena film I would have been surprised DG. As for me I am embarassed that I liked masala movies like MHN, OSO, Dabangg, Singham and this year Bol Bachchan. 😳

i watch all kinda hindi movies!!!! evn dou i can watch a govinda or a salman khan david dhwan film 3-4 times...dusnt mean its a good film or i lyk it... there plenty of govinda or salman khan movies which i lyked in my childhood bt as i grow up i find it so stupid!!!! most of the govindas 90s and salman khans early 2000s films lyk kahi pyaar na hogaya and har dil jo pyaar karega!!

A bad film cannot be a hit. Tashan wouldnt work if released today or after 5 years.

It can Rhea, ofcourse it can.

There have been times when certain films did well over others just due to timing.

There was this era of rom coms, those candy fluff Johar type films,then there was Akki's comedy hit film period, then nowdays, we have the dishoom dishoom masala films working best, and all actors have now started to ape the South Indian films industry.

Dont forget, Tashan released during the multiplex strike and Yash Raj released it only in single screens, remember?

And their whole promotional strategy was...not giving anything away, minimal promotions to arouse curiosity, which kinda backfired, lol.

I dunno, I dont thing it was a bad film.

But maybe that's just me 😆

Btw, I also admit, I liked the first Houseful. Please dont judge me 😆
