Zayn Malik's mum is a big Perrie Edwards fan it would seem.
The Little Mix beauty has been dating
the One Direction star since April of this year and they seemed to get very serious, very fast.
The once blonde, now purple haired singer, joined the band and Zayn's family in New York this week as the lads prepared to perform in Madison Square Gardens and she was screaming with pride in the crowd as the fab fivesome gave the concert of a lifetime in the iconic venue.
In an interview with heat recently Zayn's mum Patricia admitted that she likes the pretty singer almost as much as her son does and confessed:
"She would be a perfect daughter-in-law!"
Thankfully (and we are very thankful) she added that while the couple have gotten very "serious" of late, she doesn't think her boy will be popping the question any time soon, mostly because of both their burgeoning careers.
She added:
"I don't think we'll be seeing a proposal anytime soon, because they both want to focus on their careers>"
"She's lovely though. Zayn saw her on the telly and knew he liked her – he just had to convince her.
"Our families are each other's families now."
How sweet!
Before they can think about getting married Zayn and Perrie will have to spend months and months apart next year, because of their clashing schedules.
One Direction will be touring for eight out of twelve months next year and Little Mix start their UK tour in January.
The pair will get to make the most of their time together over Christmasbut after that they'd better hope that absence makes the heart grow fonder, because there will be a lot of absence in 2013.
