Not that those who petitioned dont but I for one have a lot of other things to do...studying, applications, volunteering, tests etc. So I dont have time to petition to anyone for anything and to be honest I didnt care that much since IPK hasnt held my interest in months. (Now I know you will say why do I have time right now to comment on IF...I have free time right now...hurrayyy). But despite that I didnt want people to lose their jobs just because one actor quit, and because the PH is incompetent.
Plus, I dont think anyone thought they would shut the show for real. Actors quit all the time and they are replaced by othe that the audience grows to love. There had been so many rumors about Viraf...we all thought he was finalized so the question about the show shutting down never even entered my mind. In fact since Viraf would enter the show I was going to start watching IPK again because I believed he would do justice to any character he had to play. He really is a good actor. Plus anything has to be better than the disinterested and unkept looks BS has been showing off for quite a few months now.

Those so called true fans who petitioned to shut down the show...that was a shame. They should have atleast given Viraf a chance, rather they teased him with giraf...giraf. Well if thats what you guys want to call him then giraf it is. But that giraf is one damn good looking man who doesnt have pr problems and who is always well kept. He doesnt slack off in his looks or acting like BS did.

But anyways I dont even know why we are having this discussion. I truly believe they decided to shut the show down months ago or else the new show wouldnt be airing on dec 4th. If ending IPK was a last minute decision then they wouldnt have time to create a new show (script, sets, actors..everything) and air it by dec 4th.

See yaar I feel bad they lost the job but my problem is everyone blaming ONLY the fans. Does Star Plus and 4 Lions have no hand in this.

How so perfectly Kali replaced IPKKND on Mon by 8 PM.

Why only after SPL?

What happened after SPL to this sudden decision?

Thats what I am saying. This was all done under the table a while ago and then all this mess was created because BS's leaving the show thing got leaked to the public. So then the whole chaos happened.

There is no way that star decided to quit IPK a few days ago and now they are all set to air a new show so soon. It takes quit effort to start a new show. It doesnt happen overnight.

I for one am not blaming the fans but it would have been nice if they hadnt send out petitions to shut down the show. I wish they would have tried to save the show...not that it would have mattered since it seems like SP made their decision a while ago.

@ Nisha I think that was finely played...the execution..rile the mad ones and they played thier part...now how easy is it...the head guy and SP and LM and who ever it may be...holding that ransom...over the heads of a collective where most have not earned a day...and only watch the show for entertainment...

Sorry people loosing job is sad and I didn't mention it. I just felt very bad when people started blaming fans like they are the sole reason for this mess.

And for some reason I feel Star Plus and 4 Lions had this all planned for the past couple of months and they did play a drama with us.

Because this started from September and Rajan also said in an interview that Barun is to stay and IPKKND will not shut down.

Even last week when we called Star Plus they said the show will not end...but right after SPL this news doesn't make sense..I really don't think it's an over night decision.

SP has no concern they just wanted to make the fans happy for their profit. At the same time they had to make the event successful as it involved more profit.

SP,PH and actors were all part of it. For them it's vacation time, being tired of playing same role for ages and getting bored , But for some its their daily bread and butter.

K, this is insane. First Barun and now the fans. Must applaud at how they shift blame on everyone but never take responsibility for themselves. They admitted that the show has run it's course and that they do not have a story to tell but no, the fans who didn't want to watch garbage and the actor who didn't have job satisfaction because of shoddy scripts are responsible for the mess the show is in (Can't believe people are actually buying the 'greener pastures' thing but i guess they just need a reason to hate).

I just have to rofl over this whole '200 jobless people' thing. I am not an insensitive person and if these people were actually suffering, i would've felt for them. I watch TV of entertainment not social service. Every show goes off-air at some point and everyone moves on and finds new work.

In a country so poverty stricken, have they ever tried to feed a poor hungry fellow? In a country where sex ratio is falling by a steep graph, have they ever tried to stop the female infanticide, happening even in big and advanced cities like Mumbai and Delhi? In a country with so many children without parents, have they ever tried to go to an orphanage and spend some time with the kids who crave love?

And then they expect me to buy this '200 jobless people' crap when in reality, they won't be jobless for long. Since when are fans responsible for the PH's employees? If I have to do social service, I'd rather help people who actually need it.

And we're being blamed just because we said we want the show to end with ArHi. Are we so wrong? Besides, the show had lost the passion and intensity months ago! Had it still had that essence intact, I would've probably felt differently even with Barun quitting. Most will disagree but personally for me, the show should've ended after the remarriage. It was the perfect time, with everything sorted and ArHi could've lived happily ever after. As of now, I am not unhappy that the show is going off-air, I'm just unhappy that we won't see a proper closure which it deserved.

P.S. For the first time I'm missing TRPs. They're blaming the online audiences because there is no low TRP to prove that the show should go off or high TRP to let it stay on. But i must say, 4 lions has me thoroughly entertained by the way they've lashed out to fans. It doesn't even disgust me anymore!
