KAVYA MADHAVAN TEAMS UP WITH THE BIG Ms OF M-TOWN

The actress, who's now shooting for Bavuttiyude Namathil alongside Mammootty, will next share screenspace with Mohanlal in Lokpal

   It has been an eventful year for Mollywood actress Kavya Madhavan. She has signed not one but two movies with the two superstars of the Malayalam film industry, Mammootty and Mohanlal.
   Interestingly, both her roles are as different as could be. While Kavya plays a homemaker in

scripted by filmmaker Ranjith, director Joshiy's Lokpal will see her in a bold avatar. Says a source close to the actress, "Kavya has performance-oriented roles in both
Bavuttiyude Namathil and Lokpal. The former will have her play a housewife who speaks in a distinctly different Nileshwaram dialect. Incidentally, that is Kavya's hometown's dialect, and she is delighted to be given an opportunity to speak it on screen. In Lokpal, she essays the role of a doctor, who happens to be the exflame of the character played by Mohanlal." The shoot of Lokpal has already started in Kochi; however, the actress will join the sets only a few days later as she is currently busy shooting for Bavuttiyude… in Calicut, our source informs. The last time we saw Mohanlal and Kavya together on screen was in Joshiy's Christian Brothers; however, the actors were not paired opposite each other. Nevertheless, the movie was special to Kavya in more ways than one. It was a sort of second coming for the actress, who had quit the industry following her marriage. Besides, the film also presented her in a modern avatar — something Mollywood hasn't quite been used to, for, the actress has mostly kept to doing the girl next door roles. The last time we saw Kavya paired opposite Mammootty was in Shafi's
Venicile Vyapari, set against the backdrop of Alleppey in the 1970s.
