I agree with Anjy. A sarpanch/sarpanchni is a force to be reckoned with in the village setting. Even ex-sarpanches are accorded a lot of clout.

Wrt Shiv, he still does not want to hurt/upset his Ajee in any way. He is also in the process of showing his support for her every endeavor, unlike the first hubby.

It would, however, have been more logical if A had asked him to be present.

But, there are good days and bad days, and today was middling. Logic lacking but Ansh in almost every frame😛

Malika - I dont know how they showed it. But, its like Desi nuska vs. Seheri dawa to same problem. Even in my very modern system we not only have Sentencing Circle options for native peoples, but we have ALTERNATIVE MEASURES for avg people...where they do community service, counselling for their crimes instead of jail time after they are caught.

The factors to consider are things like: 1) The type of damage suffered 2) The particular crime (i.e. it can't be murder), 2) Whether its the offender's first offence, etc.

Often Jail and Police are blunt instruments not practical or pragmatic as community justice measures.

Still - I doubt they effectively conveyed any of this. A said and S acquiesced

Maybe this is the start of AnSh differences... How S deals with A taking the initiative /being bossy vis a vis J n G when they worked at SNG? *Scratches head* J's effort to pull A towards him as well?

It could be start of the track...right? not just a scene?

Anjy I duely understand and respect ur insight into this matter..you surely being more versed into this than me.Obviously no issues abt her decision.I agree with you as well as A in her decision.Just I am a bit dissatisfied with her conduct with S.And obviously S being mum abt it.

I don't think the collector should have been there in the first place.It was not his place to say anything there. I think the village people wanted justice from the panchayat and it was her duty to listen to them and solve the problem they have.
