I completely agree my friend, I haven't watched in almost a month.. And when I tried to catch up, I horribly regretted it!
So I am so glad now IPK is just another show ruined with baseless scripts and inane drama.. I am happy with seeing the YouTube love scenes.

Hilarious!!! I know right! For their sangeet thats what they should have done!
Atleast we could laugh on it!
You both keep writing, cos I come here to do just that, read! Your FFs rock my boat more than how Shyam would rock ASRs boat...Lol

True, I don't feel like watching IPK at all these days, for me this change started when the Anjali drama began and was final when the irritating Dadi character was introduced. Nowadays I try to keep the tv switched off and distract myself with laptop/phone at 8, of course due to habit I end up watching bits of the serial and then regretting it(coz the bits happen to include Shyam/Dadi and their mindless conversations.) Even Arnav-Khushi are not exciting enough these days.

Oh man they killed his already dead self today, i don't know if i'd ever be able to forget that torturous moment! here's a direct quote: "Love can reduce anyone to anything". Never have truer words been said. Our upon a time hot shot Arnav Singh Raizada who oozed attitude and arrogance has now been reduce to the Giggly Singh Raizada who behaves like a pre-pubertal teen in love!! i wanted to bang my head on the wall when Arnav started dancing on
"Mujh sy shaadi karogi" and to top it all of he decided to do the towel-dance!!!! and "tujhse shaadi karungi" in reply to the proposal amidst a bunch of guys dancing with garlands? i mean W*F, this was supposed to be THE PROPOSAL, for heavens-sake!!!!

Well said!

You know, i feel like the CVs are under the impression that the viewers will take anything if they give it with some Arnav Khushi love scenes.
They cannot be more wrong!

I never said this show was only about them. As much as the name, the tagline and everything else about it indicates that its about Arnav and Khushi, it isn't. From the very first episode, it has been about the other characters as well. I mean would Arnav and Khushi really be who they are without their respective families? I don't think so.

Frankly, I used to enjoy the non-arhi scenes as well. As much as Shyam was annoying, it was nice to watch him fail every time he tried to screw something up. Anjali too was the sweetest person on the show - the way she would pull Arnav's leg, or care for him... it was all amazing to watch. And ofcourse, the Guptas can't be forgotten either.

But now, its as if every single character just vanished. Anjali, the sister who cared for her brother more than anything, sneaks behind him? I agree her husband, is important. I never denied the fact that she loves Shyam more than anything - but i was always under the impression that Shyam and Arnav were always at the same level. Clearly, I was wrong. Shyam is def more than the brother who gave up everything for her. I agree she doesn't know the whole story (and i blame Arnav for this, because he never took the trouble to explain properly), but isn't it obvious that something is wrong when Arnav so adamantly blamed Shyam?

Arnav and Khushi - let me not even get started on them. I agree Arnav in ASR mode was criticized, for he often 'misbehaved' with Khushi. At the same time he was also criticized, when he showed his softer side. I liked both, it made sense. But Arnav now is just - blah. I don't have a word to describe him, because he is neither. Its like CVs have invented a new character altogether. I agree he had no choice but to let Shyam back in the house, but why the hell is not keeping an eye on him? And Khushi... how is that she has no clue about Garima? She is her freaking mother!!

As for the other characters - Akash, Payal, Mami, etc. I wish I could talk about them, but this post would get way too long.

Bottom line: IPKKND ceased to exist for me. And its not because I care only about arhi scenes, but because every single character, including the leads have just died. I don't connect with them anymore. So now, I spend my time reading OS/SS/FFs on IPK, instead of watching the 30min episode.

Archi

P.S. - hope it wasn't too long! 😆

Agreed... The show kind of drags nowadays... earlier I used to look at the time to see if the epi has ended so soon... nowadays I watch the time to wonder if the episode hasnt ended yet...

What do you mean it is dragging?
The track is moving forward everyday.
ArHi's rituals are passing and the wedding is getting closer.
The ultimate drama of this track will be on the marriage day and everything is leading up to that.

Things are slowly getting back on track. We have to be patient.
Im sure that ASR will stand up for Khushi and that will make everyone happy.

This show I think has suffered due to constant changes in the creative team which has happened way too many times.

Even with LM' re-entry, I dont think it will be of much help because now the story is just plain bad. If the base story is all wrong, how much difference can the director make? He can better it, but cant convert a bad product into a great product. I would love to be proven wrong on this but I have a feeling I wont be.

The story doesnt make sense to me half of the time. I also think there is a major problem with the screenplay coz there no continuity from one scene to another anymore. After the secret garden episode, when I sat down to watch the 19th sep sangeet episode, I honestly felt I had missed watching a couple of scenes because there was no continuity from where the episode ended on 18th and from where the episode started on 19th. Then the jump cuts during the sangeet episodes. What exactly were they trying to achieve? I as an audience could neither enjoy the sangeet ceremony nor the garima-sr. mallik photo drama. The constant jump cuts didnt give me enough time to feel anything. So I honestly think they failed at whatever they were trying to achieve.

Also, why have they never shown, even for once, Anjali's state of mind about the loss of her unborn child? Is this how any woman would react after losing her child in such a horrifying manner? Especially a person like Anjali who is highly emotional? The answer is a big 'No'. But these creatives, for some reason, believe it is fine to show a woman, who has gone through so much, to dance and giggle around almost right after getting discharged from the hospital. Which planet do you come from guys?

Let me not even get started on how sad I feel because of what Khushi & Arnav have turned into these days. I will start weeping.

I dont blame the actors, I dont blame the writers, I dont blame the directors for this madness. I blame the production house. They know their concept, their story best. Then why are they hiring people are cant do justice to IPK which is essentially a romantic drama. Because of these constant changes, this show now doesnt fall either in the romantic category or in the drama category. So obviously audience who enjoy either/both the genres will stop watching as IPK is now not doing any justice to either of the genres. And this decline in audience interest is clearly reflecting in the falling TRPs.

Now IPK is just a product for the channel & the production house which they are making because they have to make it. The loss love for the product from the makers show. And this loss of love hurts. A lot.

Holy Cow!!! That was quite a rant!!!😊
