The way Ovi creates a rhetoric for dumb Purvi to swallow shows just how dumb the show is and dumber still us, the audience! There is no love in any of this meaningless "display" of love. Archana is in love with her own good name- she wants to be the ultimate sacrificial godess around and has messed up many lives, including Manav's, her daughters and even Sachin's not to mention her own and her mother's. Being brought up b this tragedy queen Purvi's idea of "love" as sacrifice is also the same. Not for a moment is she considering the love Arjun has for her. No, she has to get "good name" from ovi- that is it- that good name is worth more than Arjun's love.
This kind of selfish 'self aggrandisement' I have never seen in my life except in this serial. This definition of love as a "choti khushi" as far as selfish Ovi is concerned makes us question love once more. It appears that none of the characters in this drama even understand the L of love. And they call it a "pavitra rishta" Bah.
