Haaa...Mishkil...I don't see all / so many serials. Most of them are recommended by someone - either on FB or IF or my parents. I started watching Indian serials in 2008 (after a gap of almost 8 years) since my parents were visiting and we had subscribed Zee TV for them and Pavitra Rishta had started then. By then my daughter had started understanding and questioning (a bit too much for her age) about scenes in US soaps, so I had drastically reduced watching those and the only entertainment at a point of time was Hindi soaps /movies that we could watch over the net / subscribed channels. I think DesiTV started uploading marathi serials (the entire 20 mins) almost when Lajja (Girija Oak, Piyush Ranade) was being aired (I think that too after it was almost 1/2 over, in 2011). As I said earlier, I used to wait for SW to upload little champs SRGMP videos on YT, of course I did not know him then and luckily met him on the HSM forum years later.

And Bandh Reshmache was one such SP serial that I saw few promos on someone's FB wall and got addicted to because of the story. The fan group on FB was full of creatives like Dilip. There were fans from US who were admin of the serial FB page and who actually even interviewed the actors of that show. We used to interact regularly with Kaustubh Diwan (AN of JYRG), Ranjeet Jog, Smruti Patkar, Vidya Karanjikar and Shilpa Navalkar who acted in that serial. It was fun. BALH was also a recommendation, I stopped watching after the twins were born.

And then I did watch a few ZM serials for the 1st few months after they started, but I could not get hooked onto all until the end except ELDG and UMZ. I also did not watch GHH till the end. In fact, HSM (which everyone sees me as a loyal fan of 😉) I started watching 2 months after the serial started, just because I saw the promo of Shree's proposal to J, until then I felt it must be a 6 MILs torturing a DIL show, based on the promos at the start of the serial and had never watched it. But when I saw the proposal episode, I watched all the episodes from #1 over the next month and started interacting on IF as I really liked SK's acting. Until then, I was the X-ID on the net who used to read posts on and off on the IF forums. On the contrary, I watched JYRG from #1 episode just because I was interested in seeing PM's role (I had seen her in BR, EPE and some episodes of Suvasini) and of course Sukanya K. and GO. I was not impressed by LP for quite sometime ...almost until his b'day in the serial...I guess I am out of that phase to fall for looks at 1st sight 😃. And I had not seen him as Lakhnya earlier, did not watch Abhaas haa also. But I did watch almost all of KTG episodes, quite a few EPE episodes and most of the SRGMP episodes. I also watched many stage shows on Rajshri Marathi.

And HAAA...I am a Ph.D. turned into a IT professional, so after the 1st learning curve post the change these days I do have that much time to check out a serial. You all on this forum have so many recommendations. Also with improved technology, streaming the videos on the train is an added advantage. I usually do not skip watching any new Marathi movies on Apalimarathi. And I make it a point to post my views on the forum...perhaps that's what makes you feel awed about my scope of watching. I am almost out of touch of the US soaps, do watch 1-2 on and off, but not as regular. Although as you can see, with my long posts, habit of writing a thesis is still there 😃
