Barun Sobti was born into Punjabi, Sikh Family from New Delhi on

August 21 1984.

Barun Sobti is an Indian Television Actor and model Whose Career Begun from the StarPlus T.V Series 'Shraddha'.

Sobti is recogonized for playing the lead male role, Shravan Jaiswal, in Sony Tv's "Baat Humari Pakki Hai'.

He is curently essaying the role of Arnav Singh Raizada in Starplus's Romantic Drama "Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon".

Before entering into the entertainment industry he worked as an operation manager at Jindal Telecom for 7 Years!

He got Married on December 12th 2010 in Gurudwara to his Childhood Sweetheart,only getting one day off from shooting for BHPH.

He is going to do his Bollywood Debut with Main aur Mr.Right

"I give justification only when I feel it is required. I don't bother much about rumours
"TV has great money, but films are more about your own satisfaction as an actor. I am happier with a show and film, rather than one film a year..
"I don't think the viewer's perspective changes after an actress gets married. They like the actress for the character she plays. Not every one in the audience wants to marry a TV star they idolise!
"Sanaya's a nice girl. We are very comfortable doing all sorts of scenes. She is quite cooperative and sincere. It isn't difficult to be friends with her..
"I had no idea that this show ( Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon?) would be loved and appreciated so much. But no one knows what clicks with the audience, sometimes some tracks work, some don't.
"I haven't really come across any special incidents involving with my female fans, so am not sure about how much my fans love me. In fact, I think my fans are well-behaved..
