Mallika seeks to be with Ashutosh. She wants him to love her and marry her. Which he can never do because for him she is nothing more than a friend. What Ashutosh seeks is his Baba's Makaan which has been eluding him so far.
2) what do you mean by a threat (nidhi)

What I mean is that Ashutosh never thought he would fall for a girl half his age. So he never really someone so inexperienced would make a way into his heart. In short a young girl knocking down the tough wall he built around him.

Yes, obviously she is my best friend and often I forget that we belong to different genders- this line says so much itself about their closeness with each other.

I am more like Rahul dravid and she is Dhoni- this defines there opposite nature perfectly
