Gautham Menon pairs up with Ilayaraja

Ace filmmaker Gautham Vasudev Menon is known for the music in his films.

He introduced today's hot shot music director Harris Jayaraj to movies and together the pair stormed Tamil film music.

Later he fell out with Harris and paired with Oscar winner AR Rahman and once again the combo rocked big time.

Now for his latest film Nee Thaan En Ponvasantham(NEP), a musical campus story Gautham has roped in none other than Isagnani Ilayaraja.

Gautham Menon tweeted ' " I'm going to live a dream. Make a dream come alive . Ilayaraja sir."

NEP hero Jiiva who is paired with Samantha in the film also tweeted- " Ilayaraja + Gautham Menon = Full love songs. Yes, the music director of NEP is our one and only Isaignani Ilayaraja."

ILAIYARAAJA is all set to team up with Gautham Menon for the first time. Confirming this news to us is Ilaiyaraaja himself, who says, "I have two films that I will commence work on shortly. One will be for Gautham Menon and the other for Suresh Menon." The director has only used the tunes of Harris Jayaraj and AR Rahman so far. The maestro also reveals another interesting piece of news. While he has composed music for Telugu, Malayalam, Kannada and even Marathi films, he will soon commence work on a career first. "I will be scoring music for the first time for a Punjabi film.
