Ep opens
with the last scene of Monday's ep, Krishna pressing the feet of Sudama. Uddava gets
surprised and asks Krishna the reason of that particular action. Krishna tells him to speak in a low voice as Sudama is sleeping. They move out
of the room and start the discussion.
Uddhava says as Krishna is the Lord of three worlds, it does not suit Him to serve one particular
being. Krishna replies His action is not wrong as Sudama has bounded
him strongly with his love. Now even if He wants, He won't be able to get out
of it. And moreover, why would He try to
come out of it when Sudama is very very dear friend to Him. Uddhava says Krishna is the 'All Powerful One', who can bind Him without His Own consent?
Actually Sudama is playing with the emotion of Krishna by putting all his worries on Krishna.
Now Sudama enters the room
and says that he is not playing with the emotion of Krishna. Whenever he remembers Krishna, he feels Bliss in his whole being! Tears roll out
from his eyes spontaneously! Uddhava says Krishna is 'Trilokinaath', He is the very incarnation of Bhagwaan, Sudama should
try to realise Him thr' his Knowledge. Sudama answers that only real faith/
respect is necessary to realize the Lord. Krishna interferes now and comments that both Sudama and Uddhava are the same
as they were in their childhood days. Uddhava then reminds Sudama that it is
due to this emotional approach of Sudama which made him unable to help Krishna when He fell ill, during their Gurukul days. Sudama remembers the
scene.
Now we are in the 'Gurukul',
where they are interacting with each other. Uddhava says only thr' Intellect we
can reach the Highest Truth. But Sudama answers that thinking without emotion
is like a fruit without any juice in it! Thinking or logic leads to unnecessary
debate and the mind remains busy with those arguments (i.e.- thus it can't
reach the Truth). As the Lord is beyond
all these, so how could one reach Him thr' Knowledge? Krishna notices the
debate and suddenly acts like falling ill with a stomach pain. Sudama goes to
bring water and Uddhava brings Gurudev to diagnose what has happenned to Krishna. Gurudev says that Krishna nees Neem and Haldi immediately for his treatment.
Uddhava says he knows about all the medicines, he can very well go to the
jungle and bring those leaves pretty fast. Sudama also wants to go but Uddhava
says that Sudama is still unable to identify those trees, so he won't be
successful. Krishna instructs both of them to go, as Sudama;'s success will
imply that he also has learnt his lessons (i.e.- it will be a test for Sudama).
The scene again is in the
present situation where Uddhava says that his Gyan helped Krishna that day. Sudama says if that belief makes him happy, then he is okay
with it, and smiles. Uddhava is surprised and says how could Sudama even doubt
his ability as the whole 'aashram' is a witness of the incident that it was
Uddhava who brought those plants first. Now Krishna says yes Uddhava is right, he was the first person, but it was actually
Sudama who helped him that day.
Again the scene changes to flashback.
Uddhava going in search of Neem and Haldi plant when an old man asks him for a
direction. Uddhava gives him the direction but expresses his inability to go 'with'
him to his destination, as he has another work in his hand, at that time. After some time Sudama comes to the place, he
saw the old man, gave him direction as also guides him (i.e.- goes 'with' him)
to the main road nearby, which goes out of the jungle. The old man blesses him,
and suddenly Sudama sees the face of Krishna flashing in
the old man. Sudama gets surprised!
Now Uddhava comes across a young
girl, who is hungry, asking for food. Uddhava talks to her but he is unable to
give anything to the girl to eat, as he is preoccupied with his task. Sudama
comes and gives the girl a fruit from a tree. She becomes happy. Then again
Sudama sees the face of Krishna in that young girl. Again he gets astonished!
Meanwhile, in the aashram,
the Gurumata is attending Krishna, Now Krishna says His pain is a bit better, which
was previously very intense.
In the jungle, Uddhava has
found the Neem and Haldi tree, he takes the necessary quantity and starts his
journey back. There is a boy who has a wound, asks for some treatment from
Uddhava. Uddhava advices him to make a paste of Haldi and apply there, but he
won't be able to help him as he is in a hurry. Sudama comes there, makes a paste
of Haldi and applies there on the wound of the boy and also puts a bandage
around it. Now he sees Krishna in the boy for one moment. Sudama understand the Leela of the Lord and
smiles this time.
Krishna tells the Gurumata that his pain is completely cured
now. But Gurumata still urges him to take the medicine so that he won't get the
pain again.
Now the scene shifts to
present day Dwarka., Krishna explains that even before Uddhava came with Neem-Haldi,
He was cured. Uddhava is surprised to know that! Krishna says as He is the remover of pain from the lives of all, how could He
Himself fall ill!! Knowledge can't fathom the depth of Him, which only the
devotion/ love of Sudama can attain. He lives in all the living beings equally.
So everyone should be considered equal. If one serves others , then he is
actually serving the Lord. If anyone asks Him whether to make a temple for
worship is better than feeding a hungry being? Krishna will always support the later, as there is his already the heart
where Krishna can live forever 'in' that person. It will be an act
of 'Punya' acc to Him.
Uddhava asks why Krishna has not told him all these earlier? Sudama explains that Krishna thought that with 'time', Uddhava will change, but he is still the same,
who puts Knowledge above' Faith/ Respect, who doesn't give proper value to sneh
(love). Uddhava says Sudama's life is an example why he gives less importance
to love and more to Knowledge. They all went to the same Gurukul, got the same
knowledge, but where Uddhava has become a famous wise person, Sudama is still a
beggar. Sudama is using his friendship with Krishna with a personal motive. He has come to Dwarka to ask for help from Krishna and Krishna is bound to help him for the sake of friendship. But
what Uddhava thinks that Krishna actually helps them who puts an effort to establish themselves,
like himself. Krishna is unhappy hearing all these harsh words directed
towards Sudama from Uddhava.
Jai Shri Krishna!
