Recap of Friday's episode:
- Swamini does not get a booking with the 5-star hotels and banquet halls so the new year's party is to be held at the Vaddhera mansion which in Swamini's opinion is not less than a 5 star hotel.
- Party begins, Maanvi is bored of the classical music and is wandering around alone when Virat notices her. She suggest an idea of having a Bhangra party instead of a boring-classical-party. Virat agrees to her suggestion of having full on dhamaal.
Detailed Update:
The episode begins with the party going on at Vaddhera's; Virat looks on at depressed Maanvi whereas the rest of the family is busy indulged in talking with the guests. He goes to her only to inquire how she has been able to keep silent for so long. She tells him how she is bored and the fun there is in celebrating new years in bhangra style rather than some classical music (hell yea I agree with you, classical music can drive me crazy with irritation) Virat smirks as he agrees with Maanvi's idea of sneaking out of the party. Viren who is standing just close, overhears Virat's statement and turns to look at the duo with a serious expression and asks himself which plan VirMan were discussing of going on. He goes on to ask both of them what's cooking. They get excited and tell him everything but Viren is not ready to accept and warns both of them not to leave since they very well know the anger of Dadaji and Swamini. But Virat is adamant and tells Viren that everyone's really busy and none will notice them leave. Just then Swamini calls Virat and asks him to talk less and attend to guests. He asks for a minute and looks on at Viren who is still in no mood of agreeing. As they're pleading to Viren, his phone rings and he excuses himself. In that time, Virat holds Maanvi's hand and they move out silently. After Viren is done, he turns back and sees them gone; he's shocked. Just then, Jeevika enters and asks Viren if he saw Maanvi. He frankly tells her that she has gone with Virat to party outside. Jeevika gets scared and asks if Swamini finds out, what the consequences will be? Viren has no words. Swamini is standing near by, asks them to come over to talk to a few guests. She also asks them to bring Virat along. (Um hello? Since when does Hitler care about Virat? She's always up to scolding him) Viren hesitates.
Here in the car, Virat and Maanvi are taking a ride all over Chandigarh. Virat asks Maanvi sarcastically if she's taking him on a drive? Cause they've been roaming around for so long and if she has forgotten they have to be home by 12 o'clock. Maanvi asks him to keep quiet and just drive the car until she asks him to stop. And they keep arguing till Maanvi spots a cafe and shouts at him to brake. He brakes really hard and both of them slightly hit their head on the dashboard. Maanvi asks if he is crazy? And he should learn how brake. They get out of the car. Maanvi is super happy where as Virat is shocked. He asks Maanvi if they're partying here? At a roadside restaurant? She corrects him that it's not roadside, it's a dhaaba (cafe). She also tells him that he may have celebrated a lot of western style new years, this time he should try some desi style Mr. Desi boy 😉 and he says he'll try it Ms. Desi girl 😆
At Vaddhera's Viren and Jeevika are tensed. Jeevika asks Viren to call Virat and Maanvi back home immediately. He does so, but Virat's phone is unreachable. Jeevika once again asks Viren how they will answer Swamini bua since the first time they already made an excuse. Vanshika overhears the last few words and inquires what Jeevika wants to tell Swamini didi. Jeevika is mum and Viren covers up for her saying since it's Jeevika's first new year so she is a little stressed. Vanshika asks her not to get nervous and once she is introduced to everyone, the nervousness won't remain. Jeevika smiles for the sake of it. Vanshika goes on to explain that in their family they first take the blessings of their Dadaji to begin the year. She tells Jeevika to inform Maanvi of the same. Through this, she asks where Maanvi is? Jeevika is once again speechless and Viren too cannot think of anything. Just in time Chachi comes and takes Vanshika to some guest. Before Jeevika and Viren could discuss further. Shlok comes and takes Jeevika away to show her something. Viren in the meanwhile tries to call Virat endlessly.
At the dhaaba, Maanvi adores the entire decoration and setting filled with Punjabi dhol, bhangra and everyone dancing. Virat doesn't look very much interested. Mr. Owner comes there, and greets the duo. Virat asks how much the entrance charge is 😆 Mr. Owner tells him that no charge everything free! They only charge for roti (food) He also tells them about the New Year's Eve special: firstly there is a dance competition, and whoever wins the competition gets free food and drinks at the dhaaba for the entire year! He also shows them the "Kake Award" (trophe) which the winners would receive. Maanvi gets excited and tells Virat they will perform. Virat says no to singing. Maanvi reminds herself of the secret allergy that Virat has against singing. He smirks. She thinks of an idea and tells him it's fine if he can't sing, he can at least dance right? She'll do the singing 😉 Virat is not so sure but Maanvi grabs his hand tight and they go towards the stage. They get a bench and Maanvi sits and enjoys. Virat is still standing and Maanvi keeps pulling his hand asking him to sit and he finally sits. Both of them enjoy watching other performances.
Back at Vaddhera's, Jeevika tells Viren that this time she will not spare Maanvi since it's all her fault and she wanted to out since evening and now she's dragged Virat too. Viren doesn't agree and tells it's Virat's fault too since he also insisted equally to go out. They're tensed.
Finally the performances end, and Mr. Owner announces Virat and Maanvi as Mr. and Mrs. Chaudhary Vaddhera to come and perform 😆 Maanvi winks at Virat and they go. The song sequence Dance Pe Chance from movie Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi plays and they dance to the tunes (Wow. I loved this sequence. It's so beautifully choreographed. Virman did it amazingly! It's a must-watch) The sequence ends and everyone in the dhabba cheers for them.
In the classical party, Viren is still trying to get through Virat's cellphone whereas Jeevika is talking to guests with Vanshika, but her gaze is on tensed Viren. Her eyes become bigger than they already are, when she sees Swamini tap Viren from the back. Viren is shocked & as predicted Swamini asks for Virat. Episode ends of Viren's face.
Precap: Maanvi holding the "Kake" trophe and walking towards the car when goons surround her and give her dirty looks from up to down. She gets in the car and is crying. Virat looks at her tears. Next scene, Virat comes to the goons and they begin fighting. Virat hits each and everyone left and right. Maanvi tries to stop him but he's too aggressive. Just then the cops arrive and take everyone including Virat. Maanvi pleads to listen to them, but the cop tells them to say whatever they want to at the Police Station and they grab Maanvi along too.
Phew! Update done.
I loved the Virman sequence. Too adorable<3
No Virika romance.
But overall, fine episode :)
