Yeah, he did receive the National Award for Refugee. Don't know if those songs were 'inspired' from other MDs/composers/songs/tunes.


Another song is Jiya Dhadak from Kalyug. But this time, proper credit was given to the original composers, Rohail Hyat and Faisal Rafi.Edited by sonyaee - 18 years ago

in that link there are other examples of "inspiration" too. so rd burman and sd burman are also in the same line.
