are by Ust. Amir Khan...

He also sang in Shabab (daya kar he girdhar gopal)...

Pt. Bhimsen Joshi had a song "ram prabhu aadhaar jagat ke" in a movie
(dont remember the name though)...

Pannalal Ghosh gave music for some movies and he has played flute in
quite a few movies...

Gopi Kishen was the lead in Jhanak Jhanak Payal Baje...

Saraswati Rane has sung in Ram Rajya (beena madhur madhur kachu
bol) and at least one other song that I dont remember...

Ust. Allah Rakha has played tabla in movies. I'm pretty much sure that
he was on the tabla for "naache mann mora magan tikta dhigi dhigi" from
Meri Surat Teri Aankhen...

I loved that Ram Rajya song - -who knows the music director Shankar
Rao Vyas? It is also one of Asha B's favs. It is available on Itunes.

He has also given the score for none other than Pather Panchali!

Had mentioned Ravi Shankar in an earlier post 😳 but thanks J shruti for mentioning his other films.

Somebody mention Ut. Allah Rakha earlier who has given music in films in films as AR Qureshi...well he has composed not for 1 , not for 2 but over a dozen films in the 1940's mostly. And not only his elder son Zakir Husein has composed for films even his younger son, Fazal Qureshi, an accomplished Tabla player has made a foray into hindi films recently with the film Dansh for which he is the music director!

Haven't heard a lot about Shankar Rao Vyas...

The only other song from that movie that I've heard is "bharat ki ik sannari ki hum katha sunaate hain" (who's voice was it, btw?)...

I really dont know AD but I dont think there is a formal system to confer these titles...I think these are titles that get attached to the names of the greats as they rise in stature...I remember once Zaakir Hussain in a concert was refered to as Ustad and he I think was playing with some senior artists and he said pls dont call me Ustad...I am too small to be refered to that in front of all these greats...
Ustad and pandit are references based on religion I guess...and in females we refer to the Muslim female singers as begu out of respect I guess.. eg.Begum parveen Sultana, Begum Akhtar etc etc ...never heard titles for female musicians who are not Muslims....

Someone enlighten pls!!
