Old is gold. You may not see yesteryear actress Jaya Prada on the big screens for a long time but she is not at all away from films. In fact, she seems to be waiting for a chance to return to acting in a big way. The long wait is over now. She is making a comeback not only as actress but also as a producer and playback singer.

The veteran actress is back doing what she loves. She has Anubhav Sinha's film 'Tathastu' and Mahesh Manjrekar's 'Deha'. More importantly, she is all set to make debut as a Bollywood playback singer with her first home production film. She will sing a hip-hop song titled "Level crossing" with Adnan Sami. It has tunes by Bappi Lahiri. She said that Bappi encouraged her to get into singing.

You may wonder if Jaya Prada can ever sing but the naked truth is that she got trained in classical Carnatic music when she was a child. Now, she is going to renew her old passion. She said that she has decided to follow the trend set by Bappi Lahiri's chartbuster "Bombai Nagariya" in Taxi No 9211. It is also said that she has sung with SP Bala Subramanium for a Telugu film titled 'Sitaramalo'.

She said that her Hindi accent has improved a lot and is confident to deliver the goods. She also revealed that she would appear with a completely different look in her production film. It has Irfan Khan, Priyanshu Chatterjee and Sandhya Mridul in the lead role.
