Hindi Song Title: Chup Gayi Saari Nazarein
Hindi Movie/Album Name: DO RAASTE
Singer(s): LATA MANGESHKAR, MOHAMMED RAFI
Listen This Song on Gayaki

Hindi Lyrics:

Chup gaye saare nazare, oie kya baat ho gayi (2)
tune kaajal lagaya, din mei raat hogayi ....
mil gaye naina se naina oie kya baat hogayi (2)
dil ne dil ko pukaara mulaqaat ho gayi

Kal nahi aana mujhe na bhulana ke maarega taana zamaana(2)
Tere honton ke raaz yeh bahana tha
gori tujko tho aaj nahi aana tha
tu chali aayi duhaiyi
oie kya baat hogayi
maine choda zamana tere saath hogayi(2)
oh tune kaajal lagaya din mei raat hogayi

amwa ki daali pe gaaye mathvali koyila kaali nirali
saawan aaneka kuch mathlab hoga
baadal chaneka koi sabab hojayega
rimjim chaye gataye oie kya baat hogayi(2)
teri chunari lehraiye barsaat hogayi(2)
dil ne dil ko pukaara mulaaat hogayi

chod na baiyan padun tere payian taaron ke chaiya mei saiyan(2)
ek woh din tha milake na tu ladaati aakhiyaan
ek din tu jaage saare saare rateiyan
ban gayi gori chakori oie kya baat hogayi (2)
jiska dar tha bedardi wahi baat hogayi (2)

Chup gaye saare nazare, oie kya baat ho gayi (2)
dil ne dil ko pukaara mulaqaat ho gayi (2)

WE DON'T NEED NO EDUCATION....YEEEHAW! 😆

Alliteration??😕  I don't see it.  I thought alliteration was the repetition of the same sounds or of the same kinds of sounds at the beginning of words like..."silent sound of snowflakes is so sweet".  Please help!

Actually, I think that is consonance and rhyme, not alliteration. I may be wrong...

Actually ya.. I was just checking my english notes, Lol i know, being a geek, but had to check. Here are some definitions:

Alliteration: The repetition of the same or similar sounds at the beginning of words. Some famous examples of alliteration are tongue twisters such as She sells seashells by the seashore and Peter Piper picked a peck of pickled peppers.

Consonance: The repetition of similar consonant sounds, especially at the ends of words, as in lost and past or confess and dismiss.

So I agree I think it is consonance and not alliteration. And sorry but i don't know the hindi names for the terms.

Have you heard the original ("Lamhay")?  Same singer I think, but it was when he was in the Pakistani band JAL.
