Parichay sweeps DJ Sanghvi off its feet

Parichay '06, cultural fest of DJ Sanghvi College, took off with a bang yesterday. The theme of Red and Black was depicted all over the college in ethnic splendour. Among technical events, robotics had a number of mind-boggling tracks. Noteworthy among them were 'Black' and 'Robolympics'. AXN's popular show 'Fear Factor' was recreated with a series of gut-wrenching dares by participants. The Indian Idol contestants were matched note by note by the singing contest participants. Television actor Rajesh Kumar,better known as Roshesh Sarabhai, judged the DJ Laughter Challenge, which had the audience in splits. The fine art and Funzone sections too were packed with action. The electrifying group dance competition had everyone on their feet. A special show was put up by children from Red Swastika, an NGO for children with Down's syndrome. The grand finale of the day was a fashion show that left the crowd drooling and asking for more.
