Hey Guys… I wrote this tutorial a long time ago for my friend… so it's old, my sigs are much better now… but this is like the basic so if u wana learn… go ahead! I thought of posting it here… hope it helps so let's start...
U need :
Jasc Paint Shop Pro 8
Animation Shop 3
First of all, open your paint shop pro.

Then ...Go to File, then click on New. Your window should be like this :

Fill everything as it is in that example. For width, choose 500 and for height, choose 300.
After …it should be like this :

Maximize the window and then choose the color for your sig by clicking on the "Flood Fill Tool" icon on the left.

Once you clicked it, in the right, you should see colors, pick one and click on it.

you see the little square …that's where I clicked.
On your presentation, click once. The color should have appeared.

Now the long part of brushes…first you need to download brushes. You already have some that you got when you downloaded paint shop pro but if you want hearts brushes, etc, you must download them.

And theses are somes that Khushi di (tumhari_khushi) from India-Forums founds, she got somes links there so if you find a website that interest you, you can get brushes from there but make sure you can use them in PSP 8, I mean photoshop because if you get photoshop brushes, they won't work for PSP 8.

Check this out and scroll down, you will see lots of links for brushes. Okay now I'll tell you how to install brushes with the first link I sent you. Okay example I took the brush "Heart brushes". Click on it and a window will appear, save it to the desired location, I just saved it in my documents.
Once it's downloaded, click on open and you must see a WinZip window.

Now click on "Use Evaluation Version". Once you clicked it. The window should be like this :

Now select all the brushes ( Ctrl ) and click on all of them. Once you have selected them, you see the option "Extract" on the top of the window, click on that. The window should be like this :

Now you see the one I selected, select that one, I mean your PSP8 folder, after clicking it, the first folder should be "Brushes", click on that and save your brushes there and click on extract once again.
Okay now we are done installing brushes so back to paint shop pro.
Click on File >> import >> custom brush and now your presentation should be like this :

Now, click on open …go to your documents >> My PSP8 Files >> Brushes … and you will see all your brushes there. Open them one by one.

Once you have opened one, click on "Add". Keep doing that until you have all your brushes there and then click on "Ok". All your brushes should have been installed finally =). So now you still have your other presentation opened…I am talking about this one :

So now let's work on the background with the new installed brushes. On the left side, click on the brush tool, click on the 7th icon on the left.

Once you have clicked on that, you see up, there is a kinda thingy that appeared when you clicked on the brushes icon.
I am talking about that ….

Click on the little arrow and you will see all your brushes there, pick one ..example I'm taking this heart one :

Once you have clicked on it, click on "Ok". And then, next to that tool, you can see the size thingy so you can change it the size you want and the opacity as well. But before you print it in your presentation, make sure to change the color of your brush or else it would be the same color as your background and it won't show, so to change it, on the right side, you see the colors tool, pick your color and simply click on it. Example, I am changing the opacity to 20 and choosing black color and my size to 230.

So now you see the changes so now it's the fun part. Click on your presentation and it will print your heart brush. =) You can change size, opacity, color and brush if you want.

It looks good, na ? hehe …it's gonna look better with pix =) Okay so now to the pictures part so I decided that I am making a Rajeev sig so now I need to choose pics, I am gonna use 3 pics for this sig so now minimize your presentation. Go to your documents, choose a pic, copy it and paste it in your paint shop pro window.

That's the first pic. Now, you see there is some black border on that pic, it doesn't look that good with it so I am gonna remove it. So if you parts in the pic that you don't want them so follow this. Well, first maximize the picture. On the left side, there are tools, select the arrow of the fifth icon and click on selection. Now, select the part you want of your pic.

Now, you see the selected part, copy it and to copy it, it won't work if you right click and select copy this time so up, click on edit and click on copy. The part of that picture has been copied so now you can close that window. Now, paste the pic on your paint shop pro window by right clicking and paste. It should look like this :

Now, if your picture is too big, you'll need to resize it and for that, maximize the pic, then click on Image, then click on Resize. I choosed 90 for the width and 90 for the height as well but if your picture is too big then resize it to 60 or 70, that depends.

So now the picture should be like this :

Now, to make it look good, let's add a border to that pic by clicking on effects >> 3D effects … and you can choose anything. I'd go for Inner Bevel and click on the little arrow to choose your model and on the right side, you'll see the result, I clicked for the 6th one and for the width, I choosed 5.

Now, click on Ok. Your picture should be like this :

Now …it's the time to put your first picture on the siggi, so up you see Selections, click on that and then click "Select All". Once you clicked that, click on Edit on the top again and click on Copy…Now go to your siggi …I am talking about that :

If you right click on the siggi and paste the pic, it won't work so once again go to edit on the top and now Paste >> Paste as new selection …And now you have your pic that is moving and choose the place where you want to put it and just click. Like me, I decided to put my picture at this place :

It is still selected so if you put it at a wrong place, you can still click on it and move it to the place you want. Once you have choosed the place and clicked on it, go to "Selections" and click on "Select none" and now it's not selected anymore.

Now minimize your window, and do the same with your other pics, I mean …copy, paste …add a border if you want, cut the parts if you don't want them then copy them, paste them as a new selection as you did with the first pic and put them to the place you want.
Now, your siggi should look like this :

Now, let's add the text by clicking on the "A" on the left side, it's the 14th icon.

Now on the top, choose the size, font and color, for the size I choosed 30, font, I choosed "Livingstone" and for the color I choosed black, you can choose anything, it doesn't matter, to choose the color, on the right side, in the colors tool, choose your color and this time instead of only clicking, right click on the color …

Now click somewhere on the siggi where you want your text to be, and after clicking there should be a text box that appears like this :

And on that text box, type your text of course and click on apply, it should look like this :

Once you clicked on apply, it should be like this :

But now, if you want to move your text, you still can ….after you are sure about the place of your text, click on "Selections" and "Select None".
And at the same time, don't forget to add the copyright, I mean …example : swt.smile …but don't make it too big, I choosed 10 for the size and you can change the font and color as well if you want.

Now, if you want, you can add brushes again because now you know how to add them, go to the brush tool, choose your tool, change the size, opacity, color, etc if you want and print it. I did …so if you want to look the example …here it is :

And now let's add the border, click on Image >> Add Borders …If there is a window that comes up called "Auto Actions", just click on Ok …then you'll see another window like this :

You see the color …just click on it and then you'll be able to choose the color you want and for the "Top", "Bottom", "Right", "Left", just write 3 and then click on Ok. It should be like this :

Okay well this could be your result but if you want to add glitter border, please follow.
On the left side, click on the arrow of the 5th icon again and this time choose "Magic Wand".

Once you clicked on Magic Wand, select the border. (make sure to select the border, because sometimes you can select the opposite part)

Now on the top again, click on Adjust >> Add/Remove Noise >> Add Noise and a window should come up like this :

Okay so this time, read carefully. You'll have to save this siggi 3 times for the glitter border, so first time, choose "Random", for the noise, choose "71" (as I did in the previous example), it doesn't matter if you selected the monochrome or not so then click on Ok, now go to File >> Save As and save it to the desired location and rename your first image, I renamed it "1", and MAKE SURE that you choosed the JPEC type and then save it.

Now, you'll have to save it for the second time, go to "Adjust" >> Add/Remove Noise >> Add noise and this time, choose "Uniform", and for the noise, choose "82" and save it for the second time now, rename it again, I renamed it "2" and this time too, make sure you choosed the JPEC type and then save it.

Now, you'll have to save it for the third and last time, go to "Adjust" >> Add/Remove Noise >> Add noise and this time, choose "Gaussian", and for the noise, choose "93" and save it for the third and last time, rename it again, I renamed it "3" and this time again, make sure that you choosed the JPEC type and then save it.

Okay and now, we'll make it animate and for that you need Animation Shop 3 which you can get from here :

Once you have downloaded it, install it and after open it.
Your window should be like this :

Now on the top, click on File >> Animation Wizard, keep clicking on Next until you see this :

Now, click on "Add Image" …and add your 3 samples.

Now click on Next and finish, your 3 pics should have appeared.

Now click on File, Save As and save it to the desired location and then there will be a window that comes up, keep clicking next until the end.

By the way, my paint shop pro had some problems before so the quality wasn't that good but I am sure yours will be clear. Hope you learned now… it's gonna be much easier how to make an avi now. Hope this tutorial helped. And I took lots of screenshots because I didn't want any of you to miss any part because later on it's hard to explain. Have fun making more (:
