As the World Turns Recaps Feb 13-17

Monday, February 13, 2006

Jack's outraged to find Nick gave Carly a ride home after she promised not to leave the house. She lies that she went looking for Gwen and Nick helps her cover story. When Jack wants nothing to do with her, Carly throws out her "uniform" for the strip club. Katie complains to Mike about the mess Nick makes at their cottage. When Nick arrives and announces he's finally found a place to live, Mike insists that he not move until he's back from his work out east. Katie's concerned when Nick mentions Carly's busy nights. Lucinda is taken by surprise when she meets Jade, Rose's daughter. After Luke takes her out, Lucinda lectures Holden and Lily, pointing out that there is no way Rose would have kept Jade a secret from them. She suggests Lily call Rose's father to confirm Jade's story. Lucinda's unimpressed by Joe's memory that Rose disappeared years ago for a few months that would have coincided with Jade's birth. She warns Holden about accepting anything this mystery teen says. Jade asks Luke about the man her mother planned to marry so he explains that Paul killed himself a few weeks ago. He assures her that everyone loved Rose, especially Lily. Lily's taken aback when Jade asks if she is pregnant. A disguised Paul insists on accompanying Madame LaCoste as she meets with Jennifer at the Lakeview. He then secretly listens as Jennifer tells Madame that she blames herself for pushing Paul to commit suicide. Unaware she's working for Paul, Jennifer reacts when the psychic claims that Paul's soul is restless and later that he may actually be alive.

Tuesday, February 14, 2006

Boasting to Casey that she has a date, Maddie sneaks into the shuttered Metro and brings Gwen and Will some food including a box of chocolates for Valentine's Day. Maddie also boasts that she got Margo to think they took a bus out of town. Later, finding a guitar at the club, Will convinces Gwen to play a song for him. While waiting for his grandmother, Casey spots Nate and realizes Maddie lied to him about having a date. Upset to find Paul in the motel room, Meg claims she got a call from him in Mexico but he denies that he would put her in danger again. When she worries about him taking risks like this, he meekly admits that he was worried about her. The two grow closer as the tension in the room disappears. Jennifer confides to Dusty that she thinks that her brother may still be alive. When Jack opts to work some overtime at the station house instead of being with her on Valentine's night, Carly grabs her waitress outfit from the garbage can outside, puts it on and surprises Jack. She pulls him into the interrogation room but fails to close the blinds, allowing Nick to see them. Nick interrupts and sends them home, offering to do Jack's work for him. Mike presents Katie with her own PDA so they can "text message" while he's away. Holden pushes Lily to have Jade get a blood test to prove she's Rose's daughter but Lily announces that she may be pregnant. Once the test reveals she is, Holden agrees to put off any action involving Jade until Lily can see her doctor.

Overhearing that some construction workers will start work on Metro tomorrow morning, Will advises Gwen and then calls Maddie for more help. When she claims she's giving some clothes to a shelter, Casey searches Maddie's huge bag and then follows her to Metro. Gwen tells Will that she doesn't want to use the money he stole from his mother. The two explain to Maddie their decision to leave town and make a new start but as they admit they're thinking of hitching a ride to escape, Casey secretly listens. When Henry and Emily run into Meg and ask why she cut her trip short, Meg warns them to stop stalking her or she'll report them to the police. She then arranges for the desk clerk to insist Henry pay his bill or be kicked out of the Lakeview. Owing more than $7,000, Henry presses Emily for the money she's keeping from him. Meg warns Paul that Emily may think he's alive so Paul considers telling her the truth. Madame LaCoste assures Paul that Jennifer will call her. Sure enough, Jennifer calls so Madame LaCoste meets with Jennifer and announces that she thinks Paul is alive. When Dusty interrupts, the two women lie to him about the reason for their meeting. When Dusty asks for the truth later, Jennifer admits that Paul may still be alive. Paul's "psychic" calls him to report her success but demands more money to finish the job. When Emily confronts Meg about Paul, Meg accuses her of shooting him and then hiding his body.

Thursday, February 16, 2006

When Jennifer claims that Madam LaCoste told her Paul is alive, Dusty thinks the psychic's a con artist and urges her to disregard her. Thanking her for all of her help, Gwen and Will say goodbye to Maddie who is almost brought to tears by the love that they share. Back at Tom and Margo's, Maddie finds Casey waiting and he admits he saw her with the two runaways. While they argue, Will arranges for him and Gwen to take a bubble bath together. Meg is outraged when Emily confesses that she shot Paul but then adds that it was an accident. She warns her to keep her mouth shut about Paul being alive or else Emily will end up in jail. Paul resents his hired psychic's extortion effort but agrees to have a courier pay her off at Java. Paul calls Meg but Emily grabs the phone and pleads with him to tell her where he is. When he doesn't answer, Emily advises Henry that Meg confirmed Paul's alive and vows not to give up on finding Paul. Meanwhile, Paul assigns Meg the task of taking money to his hired psychic at Java. Before she leaves, she argues with him about how to deal with Emily.

Friday, February 17, 2006

Dusty catches Meg paying off Madam LaCoste and though the psychic gets away, Dusty accuses Meg of planning this entire scheme to hurt Jennifer. When Meg denies it, Dusty asks who is behind this horrible trick. Madam LaCoste calls Paul to warn him "the jig is up" and explains what Dusty saw. Her back to the wall, Meg decides to tell him that Paul is alive but he doesn't believe her and warns her to stay away from Jennifer or he'll go to Hal and complain. Running into Barbara at the grave site, Jennifer confesses to her mother that she's been feeling Paul isn't really dead. Barbara tenderly convinces her otherwise. Paul warns Jennifer he caught Meg paying off her psychic friend. Emily tells Henry again that he won't get his money until she finds Paul. When a waitress hands her Meg's coat, Emily finds a matchbook from the Wagon Wheel and peeks into room 7 and sees Paul kissing Meg. Still at Metro, Will suggests to Gwen that they go to Seattle and meet up with Allison and her boyfriend. He insists she take half of the money he took from his mother in case they get separated and then reveals he wants her to leave town by herself so that he can straighten out this mess and then meet her later. As he convinces her, Margo pounds on the door. Margo then catches Will but then Gwen gives herself up before they can leave. Maddie convinces Casey that Gwen and Will are innocent of any crime. When they seek help for Will and Gwen from Lisa, she remembers a "nanny cam" Jennifer was using and they decide to view the video from that device.

Guiding Light Recaps Feb 13-17

Monday, February 13
A barely conscious Gus struggles to phone home. He succeeds and gets Zach on the line. Beth, hearing Zach speaking to his stepfather (uncle?), manages to intercept the call and convince Harley it's a wrong number. Harley decides to attend the Spaulding Valentine's Day party, after all. This is a major problem for Alan-Michael and Alex, who were planning to dethrone Harley and install her ex-husband as CEO that night. Alex starts to make the dethroning announcement, when Alan-Michael interrupts and, instead, offers a toast to Harley. Later, Dinah, to cheer Harley up, orders Mallet to dance with his ex. Mallet grudgingly agrees. At the same time, Alan-Michael is telling Marina that Harley has made a huge business error. He's trying to do damage control, but does Marina think they should let Harley know? Billy points out to Reva that there's more to her life than just being half of "Josh and Reva," while Olivia explains to Emma there's more to life than having a man. Neither speaker really believes what they're saying. Buzz wants Reva and Billy to stay away from Olivia, and Reva realizes that Buzz has fallen for former Mrs. Lewis. Meanwhile, Olivia, after getting the "just friends" spiel from Josh, calls up Frank and asks to spend Valentine's Day with him. Frank is thrilled, until Olivia suggests he bring his whole family along. Quinn taunts Coop by telling him the apartment he and Lizzie have been sharing actually belongs to Quinn. Coop decks him just as Lizzie arrives and is forced to confess what she's been up to. Coop wants to know if Lizzie slept with Quinn, too. Lizzie denies, insisting she only kissed him a couple of times…. Coop's heard enough and takes off.

Tuesday, February 14
Valentine's Day finds a lot of thwarted people in Springfield. First, Olivia's clever plan to get Josh to see her with "new man" Frank backfires - until Josh turns the tables on her and shows up anyway. Then Coop doesn't want to hear Lizzie's excuses about Quinn and his funding of her lifestyle. Alan-Michael and Marina drive up to a romantic inn that's been closed for months - then have the entire Cooper family, plus Olivia, drop in just as they're about to make love. The group decides to make the best of it, and settles in for the night. Olivia, Josh, Buzz, Frank, Alan-Michael, Marina, Coop and Ava - all together under one roof - for Valentine's Day. Jeffrey arranges for Tammy to visit her mother as his Valentine's Day gift to Cassie - and they decide not to fight over Jonathan for a change. After Tammy leaves, Cassie tells Jeffrey this is the best gift he could have given her, and they declare their love. Meanwhile, Harley spends Valentine's alone with the ghost of Gus, while the real one struggles to escape from his frigid prison, only to get caught by Beth.

Wednesday, February 15
Lizzie arrives at the closed-up hotel where Olivia, Josh, Buzz, Frank, Alan-Michael, Marina, Coop and Ava spent the night - and finds a discarded condom wrapper. Someone has obviously had sex. But who? Convinced that it was Coop and Ava, Lizzie breaks into what she thinks is Ava's room, only to come upon Marina. Marina recalls that while she and Alan-Michael were starting to make love the previous night, he got a call from work (really, Frank threatening him!) and disappeared. Marina fell asleep waiting for him. Continuing to play sleuth, Lizzie finds two martini glasses, one with lipstick on it. Who was drinking with Alan-Michael - Olivia or Ava? Alan-Michael flashes back to the previous night, when he shared a drink with Olivia - and told her both his father and brother were fools to let her go. Olivia flirts with Alan-Michael, but drops him the moment Josh steps into view. Olivia's putting the moves on Josh when Frank interrupts to say the lamp doesn't work in his room. Olivia investigates, only to find that he's lit candles and arranged for a bucket of champagne for them. Frank confesses how much he cares for Oliva and how he believes they could be good together. She's genuinely charmed and responds to his kiss. But then a smoke detector goes off. Turns out Coop and Ava started a fire and triggered the alarm. Ava admits how much she cares about Coop, but swears that she would never do anything to get between him and Lizzie. An accusatory Lizzie points to the hickey, but Ava says it's actually a burn from last night. Ava took a shower to get the ashes off of her, but got an unexpected surprise when Alan-Michael (thinking she was Marina) decided to join her. Meanwhile, Olivia was crushed when Josh told her that he's in no mood to have his life ruined by her. Again. Back in her room, Olivia opened the door to find - Buzz. The two started by commiserating, and ended by making love. The next day, Olivia wants to talk, but Buzz is strangely evasive....

Thursday, February 16
Olivia and Buzz discuss their unexpected encounter the night before. Olivia insists that she doesn't want to screw up her friendship with Buzz, so Buzz gives Olivia permission to never mention their making love, again. A moment later, Frank asks her out, refusing to take "Well, I'm really kind of busy," for an answer and Olivia finally agrees. After, Frank tells Buzz he's got a secret weapon in winning Olivia's heart - Buzz, whom he expects to coach him in all the right moves. Olivia goes to see Josh, only to discover Reva already there. The women start their usual one-upmanship, when Josh decides he's had enough. He demands that they both leave him alone; he's not in the mood for games. Reva and Billy chat about her and Josh's convoluted relationship, but the post-mortem is interrupted by Tess, a young woman who was once a guest on Reva's show...and now wants her permission to ask Josh out. Reva says sure, no problem - even though it is. Harley plans to sell her and Gus's dream house, when Dinah convinces her otherwise and promises to help Harley make the home everything she and the kids need it to be. Later, Harley announces that she has decided to take a break from the office - and Dinah should take over! Dinah is moved, while Alan-Michael is crushed, but covers. However, when Marina suggests that Alan-Michael should advise Dinah in her new capacity, Alan-Michael agrees that he should do just that. Meanwhile, Gus comes to and sees Beth, who spins a story about how she found him and Alan, rescued them from certain, chilly death, and now they're all stranded up here, thanks to the storm. An ecstatic Alan suggests they just lock up Gus and leave, but Beth says no. She's been taking care of both of them for weeks, and she will continue to do so.

Friday, February 17
Cassie rescues Josh from a date with Tess, a vaguely crazy woman, and the two chat about what he's looking for in a woman - though Josh swears he isn't looking for anyone right now. Meanwhile, Jeffrey is talking to Mel, who urges him to come clean and tell Cassie that he slept with her while he was impersonating Richard - a fact that a passing Josh overhears. Josh tells Jeffrey that Mel might not be able to spill the beans due to doctor/patient privilege, but Josh suffers from no such limitations. Dinah struggles with demons of old who urge her to cling as tightly to Mallet as she can, even if it means strangling all the life out of their relationship. Blake strongly suggests Dinah not to go there and, when Mallet gives Dinah a pink toothbrush she can keep at his place - plus space in the closet for her things - she convinces herself that there is nothing to worry about where she and Mallet are concerned. But what Dinah doesn't know is that Harley has finally decided what she wants to do with her life now that Gus is gone. She wants to come back to the force - with Mallet as her partner. Gus continues to question Beth's story about their being snowed in and her cell-phone not working. Alan discovers a recently dated receipt and realizes that Beth has been out shopping - which means her story is a lie. As he and Gus demand that she explain herself, Beth locks them both in, smashes the cell phone, and cackles that she's the one in charge now. And whether they live or die is completely up to her.

Young and the Restless Recaps Feb 13-17

Monday, February 13 #8320
At the spa, Lily and Daniel break their embrace. They tell each other how much they've missed each other, and agree to keep pretending that they hate each other. Later, Lily admits to Colleen that she and Daniel are still together, and asks for help in figuring out ways to get together with him. Devon asks Lily to hang out with him tomorrow on Valentine's Day, and she agrees. Victoria tells Nikki that she broke up with Brad because he's decided to wait to divorce Ashley until after her trial. Sharon asks Nick what they are going to do for Valentine's Day, and is disappointed when she learns that Nick hasn't even thought about it. Sharon daydreams of a time that they were together in a hot tub, and how happy she felt with Nick then. Nick leaves and she runs into Brad, who tells her what happened between him and Victoria. He says he isn't taking no for an answer, and is going to convince her to take him back tonight. Brad goes to Victoria's house to make up, and as they are about to, Victor enters, asking Victoria how she can make a relationship work with Brad during the ordeal that he is about to go through with Ashley's trial. Brad leaves for a business trip, and Victoria begins to tear up. Phyllis tells Victor that she can't believe her contract had a non-compete clause in it. Victor tells her it's best that she stay away from Jack. Jill tells Jack that Jabot needs John back in the office to deal with some problems the company is having with some suppliers. Phyllis asks Jack to let her go ahead with the project, and when he refuses, Phyllis storms out. Victor smugly tells Jack that his request for an injunction has been denied. Just as Michael is about to spill his story to Will, John and Ashley barge in to retract Ashley's previous statement that she killed Tom. Ashley says that she's taking back her confession, and John asks to take a lie detector test to prove that he is the one who shot Tom. Soon, Will emerges and states that the polygraph test shows that John seemed to be telling the truth. Regardless, Will says that that is not admissible in court, but Paul enters and says that he has the evidence that they need.

Tuesday, February 14 #8326
Paul shows everyone John's coat with the blood stain on it. Glenn looks at the lab test results, then asks John to see his driver's license. Michael, Lauren, Ashley, and John are stunned to hear that John and Tom's blood type are the same, so the blood on the coat doesn't count as evidence. Phyllis goes to the Abbott estate to boast to Jack about his injunction getting stopped, but when she sees how upset he is over Ashley's impending trial, she can't bring herself to do it. Jack wishes her well on the spa project. Victoria tells Nick and Sharon that she broke off her engagement with Brad but she doesn't know if they are broken up or not. Nikki invites everyone to a family dinner, but no one is really thrilled about the idea. Nick stops by Phyllis' office when a delivery of flowers comes to her. Phyllis is curious when Nick says that he didn't send them. Phyllis unwraps the gift and finds a mini hatchet from Jack, and Phyllis understands that he wants to "bury the hatchet." Nick protests Phyllis letting her guard down, and Phyllis says that Nick is just jealous. Jack and Phyllis seemingly make up and toast to a Happy Valentine's day. Victor gives Nikki raw, uncut diamonds for her Valentine's Day gift, saying that she can take them to a jeweler to have them made into something unique for the opening of her spa line. He says that her gift to him was asking him to be a part of the project. Nick arrives late to the Newman family dinner and pulls Sharon aside to give her a gift—two plane tickets to Paris. She is ecstatic, and gives Nick his gift—tickets to the N.C.A.A. Final Four. Meanwhile, a delivery guy brings flowers to Victoria from Brad. Lauren takes Michael to the boutique and surprises him by putting on a New Year's tiara, bringing out a small Christmas tree, and opening up a box of chocolates, saying they are celebrating all the holidays they missed while she was in the bomb shelter. They begin to kiss passionately. Dru and Neil invite Lily and Devon to the annual Valentine's Day dance at the club. At Fenmore's, J.T. is looking for something for Mac when Colleen enters and reminds him of the Valentine's Day where he sang to her and got discovered by the record exec. J.T. says that going to the Valentine's Day dance is his new tradition with Mac, and buys Mac a bracelet. After he leaves, Lily enters, and Colleen says that she'll pretend to date Daniel for her. Lily calls Daniel and tells him the good news. At the G.C.A.C. dance, Colleen and Mac square off when Colleen reveals that she helped J.T. pick out Mac's gift this afternoon. All couples dance on the dance floor, and Daniel fantasizes about being able to kiss Lily.

Wednesday, February 15 #8322
At the coffeehouse, Colleen snarls at Kevin that if he hadn't moved here, then his mother and father wouldn't have come, and her family would be a lot better off. Gloria tells Jack that she read in the paper that Jabot failed to get the injunction to stop Phyllis and Nikki's spas, and then is worried when Jack doesn't seem to care about it. Gloria reminds him that John won't be happy about his, and that he doesn't need any more stress in his life. John reveals that they went to the D.A. to confess that he shot Tom Fisher. Gloria is furious with Ashley for going back on their deal. John says that they must come together as a family at this time, and doesn't want to talk to Gloria until she can accept this. Gloria calls the lab where John's coat is being tested and pretends to be Paul's assistant. She tells them to have the coat ready for her to pick up right now. Colleen meets Daniel in the coffeehouse and they discuss how good their plan worked last night. Meanwhile, Dru and Neil tell Lily that the court okay'd her staying in Genoa City, as long as she stays out of trouble and goes to school. They are worried about her attending G.C. High since Daniel goes there, but Lily says that won't be a problem. Devon gives Lily back the letter that she wrote to Daniel, and Lily is furious with Devon that it is opened and he read it. Colleen calls and says that Daniel wants to meet her at the club. Devon apologizes to Lily and she forgives him. Sharon runs into Phyllis in the lingerie department of the boutique. Sharon asks if she is back together with Jack, but Phyllis tells her it isn't any of her business. At the G.C.A.C, Nick tells Sharon that he's considering her idea to tie in Newman Cosmetics with the wellness centers, and she is excited. She tells Nick that she saw Phyllis buying lingerie, and thinks that she is back together with Jack.

Thursday, February 16 #8328
Dru and Neil worry whether they should trust Lily to stay away from Daniel now that she is home, since it could get her in trouble with the courts again. Dru wonders if Lily is really out with Colleen right now. At the G.C.A.C, Lily and Daniel are kissing and catching each other up on their lives. Dru enters, looking for Lily, but just misses catching them together. Colleen enters, and Dru asks Colleen where Lily is. Colleen lies that Lily's in the bathroom, and just as Dru is leaving runs into Daniel. Colleen saves Lily again, pretending to be thrilled to see him, and kissing him. J.T. tells Colleen that she needs to accept the fact that he is with Mac now. She says that she's accepted that, but is having a hard time dealing with the one-woman man he's now become. Kevin tries to take care of a sick Mac, but only ends up making her upset by bad-mouthing J.T. They both apologize to one another, and Mac reminds him what a great friend he is to her. Paul becomes explosive when Ashley suggests that she's sorry she let her father come clean to the D.A, but calms down when Ashley admits that she's glad to have her life back. She thanks him for sticking by her side and they kiss passionately. Gloria tells John that she is burning his coat so that he will never be convicted, but he rushes to the fireplace to pull it out, furious with Gloria. At the club, Phyllis is stunned when Jack reveals that John killed Tom, and there is a good chance he'll be convicted. He says that this does not bode well for the image of Jabot, and blames the whole mess on Gloria's presence in their lives. Phyllis comforts him, telling him what a strong person he is. Nick enters and is stung when he sees Phyllis and Jack seemingly back together. Nick enters Phyllis's office and admits that he was a little jealous when he saw her with Jack. They both become emotional, realizing how much chemistry they have together. Suddenly Neil knocks on the door.

Friday, February 17 #8329
Dru is caught off guard by Colleen and Daniel's kiss, which gives Lily time to enter and come up to Dru. Dru asks where Lily was and believes her cover. Later, Lily asks Colleen why she kissed Daniel, and Colleen says that Dru wouldn't believe it any other way. Lily realizes that Colleen is also pretending to date Daniel to make J.T. jealous, and Colleen predicts that J.T. and Mac will be broken up by Easter. Colleen says that she is going to get J.T. back. At the G.C.A.C, J.T. buys Victoria a drink and asks her to tell him what's on her mind. She opens up a little about her problems with Brad, then says she wishes her life were less complicated, like J.T's, and he agrees that his life is going well these days. In Phyllis' office, Nick tells Neil that he and Phyllis were having a disagreement over business, but that it won't happen again. After Neil leaves, Nick later is about to confess his love to Phyllis but she stops him and runs out, saying that he can't say and feel what he is feeling. Kay brings Mac some chicken soup at the loft. Mac thanks her but tells her she's not sick—she's pregnant. She admits she's confused about what she's going to do about it. Michael enters just as John is pulling out the smoldering coat, and everyone is stunned that there is now no evidence that John shot Tom. Paul enters and reveals that the lab had already tested the coat, and the DNA from the spot of blood matches Tom's. He says that with the polygraph test, and if Ashley testifies as an eyewitness, that should be enough to convince the judge and jury that John is the guilty party. John picks up the phone to call the D.A. and tell him everything, and Will shortly enters. He arrests both John and Ashley, saying that Ashley obstructed justice, which causes John to completely lose it. The cop takes John and Ashley away.

Carly calls Jack at the coffee shop and tells him she has been delayed. Anatoly arrives and Carly serves him a drink and flirts with him. The poker game begins which includes Nick and Anatoly, and Nick grabs Carly's left hand and works her wedding ring off her finger. He puts it in the pocket of his jeans. Daily Recap - Tuesday, February 21
Carly lies to Jack, saying she must have left her wedding ring in the bathroom at the school after the PTA meeting. He offers to drive her back to the school to look for it, but his phone rings, and Jack tells Carly the other guard at WOAK has caught a prowler and is taking him to the Oakdale police station for booking, so he has to leave. Carly calls Nick and leaves him a message that she needs her ring back right away. Meanwhile, at Katie's place, Nick has come home late and dropped his coat on the floor; when Katie picks it up, Carly's ring falls out. She asks Nick what he's doing with Carly's ring, and he tells her it must have fallen off in his car when he gave Carly a ride home the other night, but she doesn't believe his story. Nick then asks Katie to please return the ring for him, which Katie thinks is suspicious, but which she agrees to do.

Casey and Maddie tell Barbara she should do the right thing and drop the charges against Gwen, or they'll give the videotape of the incident in her apartment to Margo to prove Gwen is innocent. Barbara takes the tape away, but they tell her they have another copy, so she gives it back and goes to talk to Margo. When she tells Margo she wants to drop the charges against Gwen and dismiss her complaint, Margo and Will both want to know why. Barbara tells Margo it's because one son has recently killed himself and she can't stand the thought of losing another son right now. She tells Will she loves him enough to do this for him. Margo releases Gwen and Will and tells Barbara she has to fill out some paperwork. Will gives Barbara most of the $1,000 they stole back, even though Barbara wants him to keep it.

Jack comes into the station and sees Gwen, who tells him that the charges have been dropped. Jack is happy to hear the news and tells her Carly has been worried about her. Will comes over, and Gwen suggests they go thank his mom for dropping the charges. Barbara takes the tape from Casey and Maddie and leaves the station, while they congratulate themselves on the fact that their bluff worked. Will and Gwen overhear them and asks what's going on; Maddie tells Casey they should tell Will and Gwen the truth, which they do. When Will and Gwen realize the tape was blank and it was all a bluff, they are stunned that Casey and Maddie would go to these lengths for them; Maddie says it was all Casey's idea. Will and Casey shake hands, then Will and Gwen leave. Maddie tells Casey she, too, was surprised that Casey did all that for Will and Gwen. He tells her he didn't do it for them, he did it for her, because it obviously meant so much to her to help them. Maddie, for once, is virtually speechless, and they are about to kiss when Margo storms up, unhappy about all the money and paperwork involved in the whole Gwen/Will incident, telling Casey and Maddie that it's time to go and they're not off the hook yet.

Back at her apartment, Barbara pops the tape into the VCR and turns it on, forwarding through the whole tape before realizing that all it shows is the baby sleeping; she says to herself, "Those lying brats!"

Katie goes to Carly's house and shows her the ring; she tells Carly she won't give it back until she tells her what it was doing in Nick's coat pocket. Carly tells the same story Nick did about the ride home, but Katie still doesn't believe that story. She tells Carly to leave Nick alone and not to mess up his life the way she once messed up Mike's life, and Carly tells Katie she's way off base, that she wishes Nick had never come to town in the first place. She demands that Katie give her the ring before she claws it out of her hand, but Katie tells Carly not to go head-to-head with her; Carly asks if she's supposed to be intimidated just because Katie does "jumping jacks on TV," and then they go after each other. Jack walks in and separates them, asking what's going on. Carly slips her ring back on and tells Jack a lie about having been in a hurry on the roads on the way back from finding her ring and accidentally almost running Katie off the road; Katie plays along with the story. Jack is upset that Carly would drive recklessly like that, and he tells Carly she should apologize to Katie, which Carly does. Katie tells Carly not to mess around with the law anymore, and she leaves. Jack tells Carly about Barbara dropping the charges against Gwen, then he has to leave to go back to work. Katie returns home and tells Nick about her fight with Carly, saying that Carly "protests too much" about not liking Nick. Nick insists there's nothing going on between him and Carly and tells Katie she should give it a rest; he walks out, and Katie says to herself, "I don't think so."

Gwen and Will discuss their options for a place to stay, which are basically the same as they were before they stole the money from Barbara. Gwen thinks they should take Bob and Kim Hughes up on their offer of separate rooms at their house, saying maybe she can sneak into Will's room after they're asleep. Will tells her she doesn't want to get a slap down from his Aunt Kim.

Lily and Jade return from shopping at the mall. They exchange little gifts: Lily gave Jade some earrings, and Jade managed to buy a baby outfit to give to Lily and Holden for the baby. Lucinda comes to visit Lily and Holden and is shocked to find Jade holding the baby outfit; she jumps to the wrong conclusion, saying this teen pregnancy explains why Jade has suddenly shown up on their doorstep. Lily and Holden tell her she's mistaken, that it's Lily who is pregnant, which stuns Lucinda but also makes her happy. Lucinda apologizes to Jade, but when Jade leaves to get some food for Lily at Lucinda's suggestion, Lucinda tells them she still wants proof that Jade is Rose's daughter. When Jade returns, Lucinda asks her questions about the family who raised her, but Jade says she doesn't want to talk about them. The doorbell rings, and there's an express delivery package for Jade, which turns out to contain a letter for her from Rose, via the orphanage. Jade reads the letter, and when Lucinda asks what it says, she asks Lily to read it out loud. Lily does; the letter from Rose apologizes to Jade for having had to place her for adoption, and it offers some "life lessons" for her (don't let anyone walk on you, be happy, etc.). Lily thanks Jade for sharing the letter, while Lucinda sneaks away with it and Holden follows. Lucinda tells Holden that although it looks like Rose's writing, she finds it too coincidental that the letter just happened to arrive out of the blue. Lily asks Jade to put the baby's outfit up in the baby's room and goes to see what Lucinda and Holden are talking about. Lucinda tells her, and Lily says the letter is even more proof that Jade is who she says she is. Lucinda leaves, and Holden tells Lily he still thinks she should ask for a DNA test, but Lily tells him she doesn't want to do that, and Holden agrees to drop it for now.
