haha thanks.i personally think attributes are god given gifts - but i think ideologies become shaped by experience & thus people always want to change something or have something they do not initially possess. in this case, i guess when british officers would have relations with desi women, and then these women gave birth to the children who possessed "foreign" looks, people took this as another sign of their invasion on home territories. also, the connections of appearance allowed judgement. cats are known to be independent, self-reliant, and self-serving animals .. so i think that judgement is also given to those with cat-eyes. for example, many people find aish very pretty, but also self-aware & kinda full of herself (but if i was married to bollywood royalty and miss universe, i would be too probably 😆 )
so i guess this makes the stereotype justified to many.
other examples where i noticed this: i really like karishma and kareena kapoor, both who have light eyes, but people think they are ridiculous because karishma had begun a relationship with a married man in midst of divorce while bebo is with a guy who can be considered her "father figure." many people have complaints with their mother, babita, who married into the kapoor's & then lived separately from her husband so that her daughters can pursue acting. even raj kapoor's womanizing was attributed to his features (& his light eyes were mentioned as a indication for his habit) ... it's so crazy.
feelings, experiences, and judgments are so dependent on one another!
