Hajj Mubarak and Eid ul Adha Mubarak

Hajj Mubarak

The Hajj is the pilgrimage to Mecca, Saudi Arabia. It is one of the largest pilgrimage in the world, and is the fifth pillar of Islam, a religious duty that must be carried out at least once in their lifetime by every able-bodied Muslim who can afford to do so. The Hajj is a demonstration of the solidarity of the Muslim people, and their submission to Allah.

The pilgrimage occurs from the 8th to 12th day of Dhu al-Hijjah, the 12th and last month of the Islamic calendar. Because the Islamic calendar is a lunar calendar, eleven days shorter than the Gregorian calendar used in the Western world, the Gregorian date of the Hajj changes from year to year. Ihram is the name given to the special spiritual state in which Muslims live while on the pilgrimage.

Eid ul Adha Mubarak

Eid ul-Adha or "Eid-u'z-Zuha" "Festival of Sacrifice" or "Greater Eid" is an important religious holiday celebrated by Muslims worldwide to commemorate the willingness of Ibrahim to sacrifice his son Ishmael (Isma'il) as an act of obedience to Allah, before Allah intervened to provide him with a ram to sacrifice instead. The meat is divided into three equal parts to be distributed to others. The family retains one third of the share, another third is given to relatives, friends and neighbors, and the other third is given to the poor & needy.

Eid ul-Adha is the latter of two Eid festivals celebrated by Muslims, whose basis comes from Sura 2 (Al-Baqara) ayah 196 in the Qur'an. Like Eid ul-Fitr, Eid ul-Adha begins with a Wajib prayer of two Raka'ah followed by a sermon (khu?bah).

The word "Eid" appears in Sura al-Mai'da ("The Table Spread," Chapter 5) of the Qur'an, meaning 'solemn festival'.

Eid ul-Adha is celebrated annually on the 10th day of the 12th and the last Islamic month of Dhu al-Hijjah (?? ?????) of the lunar Islamic calendar. Eid ul-Adha celebrations start after the Hajj, the annual pilgrimage to Mecca in Saudi Arabia by Muslims worldwide, descend from Mount Arafat. The date is approximately 70 days (2 Months & 10 days) after the end of the month of Ramadan, i.e. Eid-ul-Fitr. Ritual observance of the holiday lasts until sunset of the 13th day of Dhu al-Hijjah.

The days of tashreeq

In the ShariAh of our beloved Prophet (Sallallaahu Alayhi Wasallam) the sacrifice of an animal has been recognised as a form of worship only during three days of the month of Dhul Hijjah, namely the 10th, 11th and 12th of the month.

On these days, the pilgrims complete their rites, Muslims continue with their 'Eid celebrations, and are prohibited to fast.

"The days of tashreeq are days of eating, drinking and mentioning Allah." [Muslim]

Sacrifice

This is one of the rituals of Islam prescribed in the Book of Allah and the Sunnah of His Messenger (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), and according to the consensus of the Muslims.

This is to commemorate the unparalleled sacrifice offered by Prophet Sayyidina Ibrahim (Alayhis salaam) when he, in pursuance to a command of Allah conveyed to him in a dream, prepared himself to slaughter his beloved son Sayyidinah Ismail (Alayhis salaam) and actually did so, but Allah Almighty, after testing the ultimate limits of his submission, sent down a sheep and saved his son from the logical fate of slaughter.

The details of this most difficult trial of Prophet Sayyidina Ibrahim (Alayhis salaam) are described in the Quran:

Al Quran (Surah-37:100-109)

100. "O my Lord! Grant me (Ibrahim) a righteous (son)!"

101. So We gave him the good news of a boy ready to suffer and forbear.

102. Then, when (the son) reached (the age of) (serious) work with him, he said: "O my son! I see in vision that I offer thee in sacrifice: Now see what is thy view!" (The son) said: "O my father! Do as thou art commanded: thou will find me, if Allah so wills one practising Patience and Constancy!"

103. So when they had both submitted their wills (to Allah., and he had laid him prostrate on his forehead (for sacrifice),

104. We called out to him "O Ibrahim!

105. "Thou hast already fulfilled the vision!" - thus indeed do We reward those who do right.

106. For this was obviously a trial-

107. And We ransomed him with a momentous sacrifice:

108. And We left (this blessing) for him among generations (to come) in later times:

109. "Peace and salutation to Ibrahim!"

110. Thus indeed do We reward those who do right.

Allah (Subhanuhu Wa Ta'ala) says

"Therefore turn in prayer to your Lord and sacrifice (to Him only)" [Holy Quran 108:2]

Hadith (Sahih Bukhari Book #15, Hadith #71)

Narrated Al-Bara' ibn 'Aazib (may Allah be pleased with him): I heard the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) delivering a Khutba saying,

"The first thing to be done on this day (first day of 'Id ul Adha) is to pray; and after returning from the prayer we slaughter our Sacrifices (in the name of Allah) and whoever does so, he acted according to our Sunna (traditions)."

May Allah bless the entire Muslim Ummah and keep all of us guided to the straight path. May Allah help us to learn and spread the precious teachings of Islam. On this joyous occasion of Eid ul Adha May Allah bless you with happiness and grace your home with warmth and peace.

Eid ul Adha Mubarak friends...🤗

Here are some more information posted by hukshila...thanks dear... 🤗

ALLAH said in Surah Baqrah verse 124

And [mention, O Muhammad], when Abraham was tried by his Lord with commands and he fulfilled them. [ Allah ] said, "Indeed, I will make you a leader for the people." [Abraham] said, "And of my descendants?" [ Allah ] said, "My covenant does not include the wrongdoers."

What were the trials? The most difficult acts of the world.

His father was a statue maker, when he said in word of Quran Sura An'am verse 79

Indeed, I have turned my face toward He who created the heavens and the earth, inclining toward truth, and I am not of those who associate others with Allah ."

He has to leave his father and his house just for saying that he believes in one Allah.

His nation turned against him and the King of the time Namrood ordered to burn him alive in fire but what happened Allah gave an order to fire as in Surah Anbia ayat 69

"We said, "O Fire! be thou cool, and (a means of) safety for Abraham!"

When he got married and was given a son he was being given an ordered to leave him and his wife in Mecca which was a desert at that time. He trusted Allah fully and leave both there and left and prayed to Allah

Our Lord, I have settled some of my descendants in an uncultivated valley near Your sacred House, our Lord, that they may establish prayer. So make hearts among the people incline toward them and provide for them from the fruits that they might be grateful. Surah Ibraheem verse 37

As it was a desert and there was no water Hazrat Hajra (Prophet Ibraheem's wife) ran up and down between two hills called Al-Safa and Al-Marwah seven times, in her desperate quest for water. Exhausted, she finally collapsed beside her baby Ishmael and prayed to God for deliverance. Miraculously, a spring of water gushed forth from the earth at the feet of baby Ishmael.

When the son of Prophet Ibraheem (another Prophet) Ismael A.S grown up he was ordered to sacrifice his son.

And when he reached with him [the age of] exertion, he said, "O my son, indeed I have seen in a dream that I [must] sacrifice you, so see what you think." He said, "O my father, do as you are commanded. You will find me, if Allah wills, of the steadfast." Surah Saffat verse 102

But that was a trial so Allah didn't let him sacrifice son and he got replaced by a ram instead of his son by the grace of Allah.

And when they had both submitted and he put him down upon his forehead, We called to him, "O Abraham, You have fulfilled the vision." Indeed, We thus reward the doers of good. Surah Saffat verses 103-105

He was ordered to construct Khana Kabah for an honor because of being successful in ever biggest trial of sacrificing his son and when it got completed he was given an order to announce Hajj in people.

"And proclaim the Pilgrimage among men: they will come to thee on foot and (mounted) on every kind of camel lean on account of journeys through deep and distant mountain highways; (surah Hajj verse 27)

So what were the rewards after so much ever biggest & toughest sacrifices?

Allah Allah gave him the rewards in this world and the next world. He got two more sons and propehthood got fixed only with his generation and all Prophets came only from his generation.

And We gave to Him Isaac and Jacob and placed in his descendants prophethood and scripture. And We gave him his reward in this world, and indeed, he is in the Hereafter among the righteous. Surah Ankabut verse 27

He prayed Allah for a Muslim Ummah and a Prophet amongst them who shall rehearse Thy Signs to them and instruct them in scripture and wisdom, and sanctify them

Surah Baqrah verses 128-129 "Our Lord! make of us Muslims, bowing to Thy (Will), and of our progeny a people Muslim, bowing to Thy (will); and show us our place for the celebration of (due) rites; and turn unto us (in Mercy); for Thou art the Oft-Returning, Most Merciful. "Our Lord! send amongst them an Apostle of their own, who shall rehearse Thy Signs to them and instruct them in scripture and wisdom, and sanctify them: For Thou art the Exalted in Might, the Wise."

His prayers got answer as mention in Surah Baqra verse 151 with the same words as Prophet Ibraheem A.S prayed. Allah sent Propeht Mohammed Peace be upon him and his ummah for fulfilling his prayers.

Muslims do Hajj as Prophet Ibraheem proclaimed by Allah's order. When Muslims go for hajj they run between Saffa and Marwa (the two mountains) where Hazrat Hajra R.A ran for the water. Muslims say 2 rakat nafal where Prophet Ibraheem stood for constructing Khana Kabah. We all muslims say our prayers and recite darud on Prophet Ibraheem and Propeht Mohammad Salaho alehe wassalam. We celebrate Eid ul Adha in the remembrance of the sacrifice of Prophet Ibraheem. May Allah's blessings be upon him who proved to be a true obedient to Allah on each step no matter how harsh and how difficult it was for him He proved his LOVE for his LORD ALLAH.

Eid Mubarak to All from my side. May Allah help us and guide us throughout the life without trials coz v are not strong enough to pass the trials like Propeht Ibraheem Peace be upon him. May Allah bless to all of you. Remember me and my family in ur prayers. Lots of best wishes and prayers
