'Bollywood is male dominated,' - Priyanka Chopra

Priyanka Chopra is touted as one of the most experimental actress in the industry and has delivered some very strong performances during the course of her Bollywood career. She has held her own in an industry where 40+ actors rule the roost, belting out hits like 'Fashion' which she carried on her merit without any male leads.

In a recent interview with Zoom TV she said it is not a surprise that the Bollywood is male-dominated. "India is male dominated, not just the industry since that is our culture. People like watching movies with boys taking revenge!"

While she believes that the position of the female is being accentuated in every field and they are getting tremendous amount of power but men are still in greater demand by the audience today.

Dispelling the myth that an actress' career is over after marriage, Priyanka argued that the shelf life of an actress is individualistic. If the audience likes you, they will watch you irrespective as "age is nothing but a number," she said. She cited the examples of Aishwariya, Kajol and Juhi Chawla, who according to her are "trending moms" who are still doing films and topping polls as the audience wants more of their talent.
