~ 26th October Written Update ~
All the men are working when the women come to leave for shopping. Priya makes a dig at Brahma whilst looking at him, how its good to see them all working 😈 Aditya tells them all to go. Devyani tells Uttara to go with them. Uttara refuses saying she doesnt feel like it. Adi says if she doesnt want to go its ok, you all go and have fun. They all leave. Adi promises Uttara that next year they'll celebrate her KC with alot of fanfare. Uttara signals to Brahma to come with her.
Brahma goes in the bedroom and sees Uttara with a red sari. He asks her whats the matter. Uttara hugs him and asks him what she is to him, a wife or a mistress? Brahma tells her you know what you are to me and what place you have in my heart 🤢 Why do you keep asking. Uttara tells him because i want to hear it from you that i am your wife. Brahma tells her why is she suspecting the truth and why did this thought come into your head. He is trying to avoid giving her the answer. Brahma changes the subject by asking her if she is going to wear the red sari and jewellery. She tells him not to worry, no one will see her in these clothes as she will wear them when everyone leaves for the pooja and then he can come and break her fast. Brahma doesnt look too happy.
The men are in the kitchen with Adi keeping an eye on them. Gaurav is chopping the onions and has tears in his eyes. Adi teases him saying is it because of the onions or because you have to do the housework 😆 Gaurav says the work will be over in a while, but you must be hungry. He tells Adi to eat a little, he wont tell anyone. Adi holds his ears saying no he wont eat. How can he eat when Priya will be hungry and thirsty😳 Adi tells Gaurav he should have kept a fast for Vidya as its these small things which increase the love between husband and wife. Gaurav tells him he doesnt believe in all that. There are other ways to show your love. Vidyas father hears all this.
Uttara asks Brahma to promise her that he will break her fast before Devyanis. Brhama says he cant do that he has to break Devyanis fast first even though she is not fasting. Uttara tells him Devyani has kept a fast for him she told her herself. Brahma is pleased and thinks to himself that his plan worked. He tells Uttara to wear what she wants and he will make an excuse and come to break her fast. Uttara is very happy to hear that. He tells her he will give her a great gift for her waiting for him. She says she just wants him 🤢 He says you'll go crazy with happiness when you see the gift. Uttara tells him you being with me is the biggest gift 🤢
In the kitchen Vidyas dad sits next to Gaurav and asks him if hes thought about having children 😲 😳 Gaurav is embarrased. Vidyas dad tells him its time for you to think about having children now. A woman is not complete until she has a child, its one of her greatest dream and happiness to become a mother. Vidyas father tells Gaurav its your life and its upto you to how you live it but being an elder its my duty to advice you 🤔 Gaurav is uncomfortable listening to all this. Chinu overhears their converstion too.
Adi comes into the kitchen telling them all the preparations are done and now its time to cook for the women. Vidyas says he feels sorry for the women since they're hungry since morning and they will have to eat food cooked by him. Adi tells him not to worry since he knows how to cook food. Infact hes a walking talking recipe book 😆 Everybody used to love his food in the hostel and that his dad is even a better cook than him.
Its evening and the ladies return home. They are surprised to see the house looking clean. Adi welcomes them and asks them how their day was. He tells them the men have cooked for them and only after eating will they be able to tell how good it is. He salutes the women 👏 asking them how they can do this everyday, we men did it for one day and have had enough. Imli and Vidya are worried about Jaggi and Gaurav. Adi tells them that they are all fine and are getting changed. He says hes very hungry and they should get ready for the pooja. They all go to get ready,
The women start with the pooja whilst the men look on. Uttara is watching all this from the window with a thali in her hand. One of the women tells the story of KC. They all decide to go to the hill as the moon is about to come out. Uttara says to herself she will wait for Brahma rather than the moon.
They are all walking to the temple which is beautifully decorated with lights. Brahma asks Devyani if she is alright. She tells him what can happen to her, those who are fasting will be having trouble, i'm not fasting. Brahma tells her he knows she is just acting about not keeping a fast when she really is. Hes known her for 30 years, she cant live without keeping a fast for him. Devyani walks away and Brahma looks on. Vidyas father takes Brahma to meet the villages.
The women are anxiously waiting for the moon to come out.
Brahma is introduced to the village sarpanch. They are not happy about meeting him. Brahma realises its because of Adi and tells them he is behind his son all the way for the progress of the village and knows it will do them all good to move with the times. The sarpanch agrees to think about it.
Everyone is waiting for the moon to come out especially Adi. He says the moon should have come out by now so why dont they break their fast as it must have come out somewhere in the world. Priya says we cant do that. She asks him if hes worried about her being hungry or for himself. She asks him if he remebers their challenge, she does. He tells her hes worried about her, he cant see her like this. Priya tells him shes fine,shes not hungry. Adi finally admits hes hungry and cant stand it anymore. They all laugh at him. Just then someone says the moon is out.
All are standing near the riverbank with the women doing the ritual of the moon and the men looking on. The wives look at their husbands through the sieves and they smile at each other.

Brahma is making Devyani drink the water. He tells her its the last time time he is doing this because he is going to divorce her. Devyani is shocked The water jug falls and all look at Brahma and Devyani.
