😲 WOW - I had some time to browse around the forum today and realized, what a controversial topic this hug has been!!
Some found it mechanical, some found it disappointing, some found it average, some found it, just plain magical, romantic and intense! I belong to the last group folks. ☺️
Let's just do an exercise shall we?
Let's close our eyes, forget Friday's precap, forget 70+ hours of anticipation, breathe in, breathe out 😆 (Wake up if you fell asleep somewhere along the way 🥱🤣) and then, watch this celestial scene again. Make sure you watch it in slow motion otherwise you may end up feeling dizzy. 🤣😉
I won't dissect it frame by frame because...
1) It's been dissected million times already
2) it takes away its beauty from the way I felt it, I don't think I am capable enough to put it in to right words.
But I couldn't help sharing the depth, magic, intensity, romance, pain, and comfort that I felt when I witnessed that scene. 😍

I was already bruised up from the rest of the episode. I had closed my eyes and painfully listened to the shyam torture! 🤢 I had tried to shut myself off from that horror. It worked to great extent. But then, what tipped me over, were buaji's sad words. I sat there wondering, imagine being in the situation where kisi ka pita, pati, bhai - all of a sudden gets paralyzed and can't talk, can't move. How hard must that be to cope with? Buaji had been given the most perfect set of dialogues. Kudos to Hitesh for penning that so brilliantly. Bua's pain was so heartfelt that I actually choked up.
Finally, it came to a point where Khushi couldn't take it anymore. She was just not able to be strong anymore and ran out of there. Thanks to Morphi and Niha's OS's I was already feeling her pain. And there came the breeze. The wind that no more than 30 seconds later would storm me away along with khushi kumari gupta.
The scene:
It was just an indescribable majestic experience for me!
Khushi, the girl who is supposed to be the pillar of strength for the whole family and everyone else around her, she too had her deepest fears. She had her weaknesses, that only one person in the world knew. She had opened up to NO ONE else. Not even her sister. Though it seemed like they shared everything with each other, there are some things you just cannot share with family. She was on the verge of breaking down. But everyone was telling her to be the strength that she always has been 😭🤢🤔 No she didn't want to be that today. She needed comfort. She needed care. She needed to be looked after. She needed to be hugged and told, it was okay. Everything was going to be alright.
And in just that instance, there he was. The only one who understood her pain. The only one who she could openly tell about her insecurities. Not only that, she was so vulnerable that in the pull of the moment, she went and obliviously hugged him and poured her heart out to him. Told him everything she felt to the minutest detail. There was depth, pain, and intensity just oozing from the scene. The hug and her words spoke volumes. And it felt like she just belonged there, in his arms. She had found her destination. It was the only place she could have been at today, which gave me, a viewer, the ability to sleep at night!
However, his hesitation spoke even more. He had even more inner turmoil. How could he instantly hug her back guys? Embracing her meant embracing his own insecurities. His deepest darkest fears. Embracing her meant, a commitment to protect her and comfort her forever. It meant letting loose a part of himself he had kept tied up for so long. No he couldn't just hug her back right away. He had his own set of contemplation to do. It wasn't about just comforting an acquaintance. It was about giving away a piece of himself.
There was just sooo much beauty in today's scene. And I am helplessly looking forward to the continuation of it tomorrow as we hit the 100th episode milestone in the IPKKND world. ❤️😍
