Mere Brother Ki Dulhan gets a flying start

Katrina Kaif and Imran Khan are back fresh after hits like ZNMD and Delhi Belly. Now paired together in a Yashraj Film which boasts of excellent music and of course super promotion has finally delivered results once again. Call it great promotion, superb music, Katrina Fan Base or YRF Brand impact Mere Brother Ki Dulhan has emerged victorious on day 1 with a healthy Rs 7.5 Cr nett collections approx.

Made on a modest budget of around Rs 30 - 32 Cr, a weekend of around Rs 24 - 25 Cr will make things easy for YRF to recover investment and start making profits from theatrical release from India itself. Reports of the movie range from Good to Average mainly because of outdated premise of love triangle but people have seemed to like the treatment and performances from Katrina Kaif and Imran Khan.

As far as Day 1 figures show, MBKD is on road to become a Hit, another one for Katrina Kaif's envious track record. Hopefully, one day she gets to feature in a Rs 100 Cr blockbuster soon.

Watched it today. Morning show. Good crowd for a morning crowd actually. i have never seen so much ppl for a morning show in recent times. i guess its gonna do a good business.

As a movie. Its strictly OK! i mean i have seen a lot of crappy comedies. at least its not one of those. it doesn't give u a headache 😆 or make u pull out your hair. neither its like delhi belly tat u have to watch secretively 😆. its that kind of movie, where u can take ur family and friends and actually enjoy have good laugh, for a one time watch. yah comedy is not so great, there are just good punches and one liners. Story is predictable, but i guess one can over look tat for a decent watch.

as an Ali Zafar fan i would have loved more of his scenes. some of his dialogues shown in the trailer were edited off , kinda dissapointed me. but then he shined in watever bits he was given. he stole the show for me at least. his comic timing , screen presence, dancing, everything was top notch. ya i agree i am biased but can't help 😆
next comes Katrina as far as performance goes. and also i like her character. Bindaas cum cute girl. she comes out to be very adorable. i liked her in this one. did complete justice to her role. Imraan was good too. but then he was as usual. same as his previous movies. tat doesn't mean he was bad.

and plus there are way tooo many songs. 1st half has 4 songs.its treat to watch if u like them.but tat drags the first half a lot. but pace picks up in the second half. my personal fav songs is madhubala, u actually feel like foot tapping, and even Do dhaari talwaar. Ali Zafar fans if any watch out for him in this song. he is amazing

All in all i would say its a GOOD one time watch. unlike the usual comedies, which usually have double meanings and stuff, this one is clean light hearted comedy.

Cute film,lovable performances by imran,katrina and ali zafar.Critics are way to mean to imran n katrina,its not that ali zafar is like the best thing in the film.I think kats dimple dixit was way too cute and the songs rocked so did imran-katrinas pairing.

The film open with 7.34 cr which is agood opening the weeend will be 24+cr if the film didnt crash from mondey then we will have awinner for sure .

7.34 is fantastic coming JUST a week after that giant called bodyguard! wish it had a better release date! still a winner nonetheless, BOI said the public reports were decent, not negative like AA

and this IS imran's biggest opener! IHLS was 6.77 crore.
