Stanley Ka Dabba

Ah! So very touching. This one is a winner...no doubt. Few films have the heartwarming impact like Stanley Ka Dabba, its just simply touches you. Its simple and that's what works for it! Big thumbs up!

A SIMPLE story...a young boy, his friends and a schoolteacher who isn't his greatest fan...that's the story yet, it captures you. I guarantee that its unlike any other film you may've watched in the past. The whole movie is basically in a classroom and the story is told by a 9 year old kid and the best part about the movie is its thought-provoking finale. This one is a must watch. Before watching this movie, i never in a million years would have thought that the movie was about child labor. It gives such a sweet message. And to think that there are 12 million kids out there just like Stanley is heart breaking. This movie leaves a great impact on you...the right kind of impact. Such a treat.

What you might not like about the movie: It's slow pace. Let me warn you that Stanley Ka Dabba is slow. And when i say slow...i mean SLOW! That's the only draw back...but don't you miss this one. Just don't miss it.

A film you need to not just watch but cherish. <3

10/10.

I saw LEADER...with subtitles of course. whatta an awsome movie! If u liked Rajneeti then u definitely will like Leader. It sure has some similarities with Rajneeti. but it has more than that. it doesn't talk about relation within political family but it shows the ugly side of politics..CORRUPTION. it not only shows how and to what extent politicians are corrupted but it shows what one can do to erase and fight corruption. it doesn't have much of action, blood spilling or fighting(thank God). It's a very powerful film..way powerful than Rajneeti. and it also has cute romance and romantic songs. I think it talks about the most dangerous problem in India and it also shows a way to fight it. Give it a watch must! I am sure nobody will be disappointed.

5/5 👍🏼

I have one question to anyone who saw Leader.. who was Peddanya? i didn't get what was his role.

^^tulsi...pedayana...hmm...are u referring to the old guy?? he was the caste fanatic political party head of arjun prasad's dad's party...He basically wanted his son (the guy who plays arjun's cousin and his contender) to become a chief minister...but arjun becomes one instead...so his is like a mini sublpot to sabotage Arjun's political standing/career..

he didnt have tht big a role..

Just watched DDLJ, for the 100th time 😆. I love this movie, had a huge crush on SRK after watching the movie first time (what happened to shah rukh ?). The chemistry between SRK and Kajol is mind blowing. As one of the reviewer said "It's a flawed, contradictory movie -- aggressive and tender, stiff and graceful, clichd and fresh, sophisticated and naive, traditional and modern. It's also, I think, a classic.". The movie showed us many different relationship and how each of them are different from the other like: father-son, father-daughter, mother-daughter, sister-sister, husband-wife and boyfriend-girlfriend. Aditya Chopra was successful in bringing SRK and Kajol together in this realistic family that is easy to enjoy and love. While the setting is not as grand as they are in Karan Johar's movies, its simplicity is what attracts me to watch it again and again.

9/10

Just finished watching Pokiri. I have begun developing like the hugest crush on Mahesh Babu after this film (he's at par with Siddharth). Omg... Where has he been my entire life??? Sigh... such a charming man. His voice is so sexy and he is so goddamn talll!!!

Definitely stole the show (but I love Prakash Raj too!!) 😳

Mahesh Babu is a cutie, but some of his movies are horrible, so make sure you avoid those.

Sheldon, I found Okkadu of Mahesh better than Athadu! *hides* Ha. IDK why though. 😕 I was sorta confused with Athadu's end, maybe that's why. I have sorta seen lil teasers of Desamuduru (hayyye, Arjun can make anyone go weak at knees) and I have seen tid bits of the Tamil film Vinaithaandi Varuvaya. Need to still watch em.

Which is the one with Trisha? Is it Okkadu or Athadu? I wanna see that one first, heard both are good.
