ShaNak :the eternal couple

Khanak is a 20 year old village girl. She comes across as a sweet, nave, naughty, spirited girl who is innocent when it comes to the matters of the heart. Because of this she has no coyness or artifice. She is madly in love with Suraj, her childhood sweetheart, and dreams of spending her life happily with him. But fate has something else planned for her. When her Suraj is killed in an accident, Khanak is left with no choice but to marry the person guilty of the death. And so she marries Shantanu Khandelwal. Now Khanak has to face numerous hurdles in her life, starting with her adjusting in a new city, far away from home.

Shantanu's friends call him Shanty and he hails from a rich business class family who are settled in Mumbai. He has a heart of gold but has a knack of getting into trouble often. He is brash and irresponsible, yet lovable. His devil-may-care attitude often lands him in difficult situations. It is exactly this attitude of his that lands him in trouble. When he accidentally kills Suraj, Khanak's husband, he is forced into marrying Khanak to save his life. When chaos disrupts his chilled-out life, he learns to adjust to the changes and in the process become more responsible.

~Memorable days for ShaNak~

11th June, 2010: Khanak gets a electric shock and Shaan finds her in the kitchen. First time he picked her up in his arms.
18th November, 2010: Shantanu is arrested and taken to jail where he finds the 10 rupee note.
19th November, 2010: Shaan and Khanak shared their first mutual hug.
23rd November, 2010: Shaan shows Khanak the 10 rupee note, Khanak forgives Shantanu for tricking her with the divorce papers. She also destroys them, reassuring Shaan that their relationship is strong and that nothing will come in their way.
24th November, 2010: Khanak kicks Shantanu out of the room! the first time of many that are to come in the future.
4th June, 2011: ShaNak remarry and then leave the K-house.
