A small background:
Krishna has left TN with his wife Pratigya and living separately after the shocking attempt of the Takurs to kill Pratigya. He had nearly lost Pratigya but it was only the mercy of the Lords and the strength of his love that brought Pratigya back to life, just like how she brought him back to life.
Seeing Pratigya lying in hospital with no life scared him. Took the life out of him. He did not know what to do. All he knew was tat she had to come back to life. She was his life and if she is not there then he is not there. He took her hands in his and cried to the Lords to give his life back to him. He begged his Babu to open her eyes and look at him. But she didn't move. He kept his head on her head and vowed that if she was not going to come back then he will not leave her to go alone but he was coming with her.
Krishna: Tum aankhen khologi ya mein bhi chalu tumhare saath. Tum bahut ziddi ho. babu aankhen kholo na. Theek hai mein bhi chaluga tumhare saath. Mein tumhe akela nahin jaane doonga.
His hot tears fell onto her face. His pleas ringing in her ears. Pratigya is in another world and watching Krishna crying his heart broken. A voice in the distance asks her
Voice: Jaante hain who tumhe kitna pyaar karthe hain.
Pratigya's eyes filled with tears.
Pratigya: Mein wapas jaana chahte hoon... Humnay apni zindagi abhi shuru ki hai. Aur Krishna mere bina jee nahi sakta. Pls mujhe wapas jaane do.
Seeing the amazing love of these two even the Gods did not have the heart to separate them. They wanted to see their love growing and prospering from the heaven's above.
Krishna: Aanken kholo jaan. Humare saathe yeh math karo jaan. Aanken kholo and he cried bitterly.
Voice: Hum jaante hain ki woh tumhare bina jee nayi sakti. Isliye tumhe waada karna hoga ki tum hamesha uska saath dogi.
Pratigya: Mein waada karthi hoon ki hum dono hamesha saath rahaingay.
Just then Pratigya opened her eyes and turned her head. Her lips touching Krishna's tearful cheeks. Krishna felt movement and looked at Pratigya's face. He could not believe. He touched her face and she closed her eyes to softly feel his touch.
Krishna: Babu tum, tumne aanken kholi..!
She answered with her eyes and saw the condition Krishna was in. He stood up to look at her properly not able to believe.
Pratigya stretched out her arm and pulled Krishna lightly. He got into bed with her, put his head on her chest and they both laid there in that hospital bed together for ages until they both were sure that they both were alive.
Pratigya: Jaldi aana huh..
Krishna: Haan babu, tab tak tum aaram karo. Mein jaldi aajaonga.
He made sure the nurses kept an eye on her always and left the hospital. He did not trust anybody. So he decided not to go to adda instead called Tunna and Chandu to come to hospital to meet him.
Tunna and Chandu were like his brothers and the only two people he trusted.
They came immediately. And the three of them sat outside Pratigya's room and talked. They had brought some money to give Krishna to pay for hospital expenses.
Krishna: Ab tumne kaise jaana ki mujhe paise ki zaroorat hai?
Chandu: Aap Bhai ho humaray, hum sab kuch jaante hain.
Krishna was filled with emotions.
Krishna: Acha yaar mujhe pata nayi Pratigya ko lekhar kaha jao. Mein ghar to wapas nayi jaa sakta. Ab kya karein?
Tunna: Aap bhabi ko unkay ghar kyun nayi chortay aur aap humare saath rehlo.
Krishna: Nahin yaar.. Mujhe usse doori bardaasht nayi hoti. Aur mein ab kisi par bharoosa nahin karta'.
Chandu: Bhaiyya agar bhura na mane aap aur bhabi humare ghar mein reh sakthe hain'.
Krishna: Sach mein? Kuch din ki baath hain. Mere naam mein kuch zameen hain, mein waha apna ghar banana chah raha hoon. Meri rani ka mehel. Humari chotti si duniya.
Krishna smiled at Tunna and Chandu.
Krishna: Yaar tum koi naukri ki baare mein jaante ho..? Mujhe paisa kamana hoga.. Patika ka zimidaari nibhani hogi...
Just then Tunna remembered that his father mentioned a mechanic job and mentioned it to Krishna. Tunna knew how much Krishna loved cars and bikes. Tunna mentioned it to Krishna.
Krishna: Chalega yaar. Usse kehdo ki mein kal se kaam par aajaonga.
Just then he saw a nurse enter Pratigya's room. He got agitated.
Krishna (standing up): Yaar chalthe hain. Nurse abhi gayi Pratigya ki kamre mein. Kal milte hain.
Tunna and Chandu left.
Pratigya saw Krishna coming into the room.
Pratigya: Tum itne jaldi wapas aagaye.
Krishna: Ajeeb baath kehthe ho, jab mein jaldi wapas nayi aatha tab shikayath karthi hain aur jab jaldi aaya tab bhi shikayath karthi ho.
Pratigya gave him a weak smile. Krishna smiled back and went into the bathroom.
Nurse: Aapke pati hum logo par baroosa nayi karte. Woh kahi nahin gaye thay. Yahin thay. Uskay dosth log bhi yahi thay.
Pratigya understood that Krishna still feared leaving her alone. She smiled at the nurse and she blessed their jodi and went off. Krishna came out of the bathroom and fed Pratigya food.
Next day he took Pratigya to Tunna's and Chandu's house.
Pratigya: Hum ghar kyu nayi jaa rahay hain?
Krishna: Ab yehi humara ghar hoga kuch dino ke liye. Mere naam mein kuch zameen hain aur us par humara mehel banaoga main. Apnay haatho se. Meine naukri bhi dhoond li hai. Mechanic.
Pratigya: Par?
Krishna: Nayi Pratigya hum wapas haveli nayi jayenge aur us ghar se humara koyi rishta nayi hain. Hum aur tum hain bus eik dosray kay liye. Bas baath khatam.
Pratigya didn't argue anymore. She knew how he was when he has made his mind up. She was happy in her heart knowing that Krishna has finally realised his responsibilities, even if she had to die for that. She looked at him and smiled.
Next few days Pratigya stayed at Tunna's and Chandu's home and recovered. She cooked for the three of them and looked after them. Meanwhile Krishna, Tunna and Chandu went for work in the mornings and in the evenings Krishna spent time on his land building their small palace, Tunna and Chandu helping him and Pratigya watching the three of them work hard, serving them food and talking to them. It was truly some of the happiest days in their lives.
Finally their palace was ready. Krishna and Pratigya moved in. They made their house into a small sanctuary, their world.
They decorated their bedroom with light curtains, a small bed, a small cupboard to keep their clothes and other things and a dressing table and a joint small bathroom. Their photo was on a small table.
Their small hall had a rug for them to sit on, and a small mandir for them to pray.
Pratigya had a small kitchen which she made up with utmost care and love with her pots and pans.
Their small house had a small verandah as well where they sat at nights and enjoyed the night and each other, where K talked about his day, where T and C came and hung out in the evening and drank tea and talked lots with their bhaiyya and bhabi.
