There were 5 films in 2010 which made good money (Return on investment of over 50%). Love Sex Aur Dokha even went over 100%. The other four were Dabangg, Peepli [Live], Golmaal 3 and Band Baaja Baraat. The top profit makers of 2010 were as follows.

The other films that recovered their costs and were in the -5% to 10% return on investment range were Ishqiya, My Name Is Khan, Atithi Tum Kab Jaoge, Paathshaala, Khatta Meetha, Aisha, Lafangey Parindey, We Are Family, Anjaana Anjaani, Break Ke Baad and Tees Maar Khan. (Listed in Release Order)

Note - When the Worldwide rights have been sold off to a third party then that figure has been used for the return on investment. When the makers have distributed themselves then the production budget. The total revenue is the money earned from all revenue sources and for films that were sold to third party then the total revenue is for all the rights which were sold.

I know I was shocked at some of these films making the list like LSD. But hey word of mouth helped this film considering how much people liked it.

And wow Milenge Milenge made the list. That's the star power of bebo and shahid. People do love them together after JWM.

Has anyone seen Love Sex and Dhoka? I'm surprised it's at number one, gotta watch it. So happy for BBB 👏 and also for all the other movies.

some interesting surprises... milenge milenge, which i thought was a flop, actually has a higher ROI than houseful, which was a hit.. chalo, that's good for boney... he must be happy...! 😆

MM was not a flop it was average grosser. But the producers profit a lot from it because of the satellite rights and I believe because the film was a low budget film. And yes boney is happy considering he was so desperate to gain something from this film. 😆

If you are over 18, or whatever the age is for viewing movies certified as A in your country, don't miss LSD.

It's the best movie of last year for me. It's experimental and the whole movie has been shot with a handycam.

It's edgy, and as realistic as cinema can get.

Don't expect to see any mushy stuff, it's hard hitting.

It's the best experimental cinema that's ever come out from India.

Reputed critics in the UK, those who write for guardian and telegraph called it the best Indian movie they have ever seen.
