A gadget and self-confessed techie guy, Karan still has an analytical mind and projects it thus as Krish.
With the Nokia CDMA ad as his first major foray in facing the camera, Karan is enjoying every moment portraying as himself in 'Saath Rahega Always', and gets nostalgic about his own college days as he delivers his lines while seated on the benches in the sets. The engineer who has studied in Pune loves the cool and carefree atmosphere there as compared to the very professional air of Mumbai, but will never bargain any other place for this city that never sleeps. He is the fitness freak as Krish Oberoi who wants to fly high as an Air Force officer. However, Karan wants to fly on another sky—one that will show him the dawn of directing and producing his own film.
This man knows his idols well—Amitabh Bachchan for all that he has managed to achieve in his lifetime, and Naseerruddin Shah whose skills just cannot be replicated by anyone else. With ideals set in his mind and dreams in his eyes, Karan is all set to make a great career in television. But then again, he turns to his bed for a good sleep to relax after a long day of shooting and prefers family and friends to partying to have his spare time turned into beautiful moments. Neha Marda She is the dancer who has enchanted people with her steps since the age of three. She has won many competitions for her unmistakable talent in Bharatnatyam, Salsa, as also the Hindi-filmi numbers. She is 18-year-old Neha Marda, who debuts in showcasing her acting prowess in SaharaOne Television's new show 'Saath Rahega Always'. She plays the role of Peehu—a free-spirited girl who is very patient and flexible to all kinds of circumstances.
Neha is from Kolkata and is presently juggling a dual life of acting and preparing for her 12th board exams. She is here in Mumbai since two weeks but has been caught in the web of shoots ever since—and is loving every bit of it. A trained Bharatnatyam dancer who considers dancing as the best form of relaxation, Neha is the quintessential bubbly and effervescent girl. She is also very particular about her studies—she knows she has to crack really well in her forthcoming exams so that she can pursue her acting simultaneously with her further studies. She is determined to be able to bend steel—she doesn't intend to do so yet, but believes there is no stopping her in achieving her goals to be a good dancer.
Dancing is her form of relaxation after a hard days' work and this student of Sunrise English School, Kolkata knows it well that she has to do her MBA. Looking up to Sudha Chandran and Madhuri Dixit for inspiration, this religious Marwari girl owes her successes in life completely to the immense support she has received from her family and considers her mother as her lucky mascot. Also into classical singing, Neha has a long way to go—with dreams and determination in her eyes, she truly is a go-getter.
Karan Mehra ( plays Soham Mehta in the show)
He is the suave guy who loves to project himself on screen effortlessly as himself. This is Karan Mehra, who has a theatre background to which he owes his amazing acting skills. Having done his graduation from Delhi University, the archlights beckoned this youngster and theatre under the guidance of Mr. Barry John, followed by a course in acting was the appropriate route.
Soon followed a host of commercials before television beckoned him As he gets ready to light up the screen with his smart, sensitive, flamboyant demeanor in SaharaOne Television's new show 'Saath Rahega Always'. He plays the stylish dude in college who is yet very sensitive and believes in living every bit of his life to the fullest. Just like himself. He is happy to be able to reminisce his own classroom moments of Delhi while shooting for 'Saath Rahega Always' although he senses much more liberty in the college atmosphere here in Mumbai.
Planning to continue acting for sometime, this budding actor looks upon his theatre guru and his true mentor who has groomed him to reach the pedestal he presently is at. Besides, he knows his role models well, and for all the right reasons—Al Pacino, Mel Gibson, and Aamir Khan—they know to light up the screen with their slightest presence. For a hardworking actor that he is, relaxing is the big word for Karan. And this Delhiite who loves to go around biking, has learnt the ways of relaxing the way Mumbai does it—by partying hard!
