Some things just never fade with time. Memories don't' fade. And for almost anyone, the memories of a joyful youth with its carefree nature come encompassed in an institution—the college. SaharaOne Television wishes to relish these emotions and feelings of teenage life with their new show SAATH RAHEGA ALWAYS—an enthralling contemporary campus story along with riveting drama. Catering to the youth as also to a much mature audience the new show ricochets between the various joys and fun and lowdown and setbacks of campus life. The show features the dreams, aspirations, romance, rivalry, friendship, etc… of a young crowd when they are all bound together within the walls of this institution. Showcasing the vibrancy and the happy-go-lucky attitude of youth, the latest trends in vogue, and everything else that comes along the package of college life, SAATH RAHEGA ALWAYS is an emotional drama that connects with the 'Kid At Heart' in all of us.

It is the story of Peehu Bhargava and her college friends, Krish, Soham, Palak and Nitin who are all in the second year of Degree College. Weaving their dreams and aiming to reach towards their set ambitions, they all spend their college years together trying to reach their goals. All of them, needless to say, are different in their temperaments and attitudes, yet each one is very close to the other and spend their time in college together.  Don't be surprised which place in the college—the canteen of course! Like anyone who'd know the importance of one's regular canteen place, these youngsters have earned the sobriquet of being the Table No.7 group.

Experiencing everything—love, fights, jealousy, friendships—their dreams just remain as 'dreams' only in college. Despite their efforts and planning they find their lives taking unusual paths. Although they find themselves in entirely different professions from what they actually dreamt of, they eventually learn to take reality as it comes forward and they take the efforts to glide through it all.

Life's biggest lesson to them, as anyone would agree, is about love and friendship for them, as also the mystery of life itself. They are the youngsters of a new generation that believes in being ambitious, but definitely not withering away in self-pity. After all, they have to learn live every moment of life king-size, because they finally understand that YOU LIVE BUT ONCE.

Character sketch—Krish Oberoi one of the male lead

The perfectionist who believes in doing everything right; the cool collegian with his cool mantra of simplicity that exudes sophistication—he is Krish Oberoi one of the male leads in SaharaOne Television's upcoming show 'Saath Rahega Always'. A wannabe Air Force officer, Krish is visibly a fitness freak—very cautious about his diet, refraining from all kinds of tempting junk food, his early morning jogging ritual. But like many other youngsters, he cannot resist his brewing cup of coffee!

Levelheaded and staunch, yet soft-spoken, Krish truly is the winner in the vote of best debaters. With a class of his own that catches every eye, the positive in this young boy grooming to be a gentleman comes across to all the people he encounters. He is blessed with the talent to be able to make quick decisions, those that are not irrational and that he adheres to completely. He can well be considered as the boy-next-door, who is conscious of himself and has an independent attitude of his own.

Trendy bikes and fancy wrist watches is all that Krish is truly passionate about. He doesn't think twice to change his bikes to get the latest ones; he will also not discard his old wristwatches for the new ones that increasingly pile in his cupboard. With a collection of a good number of watches, Krish is careful about preserving them. After all, he is the perfectionist! So be it his bikes or watches or friends, he can truly say to all of them with great conviction, 'Saath Rahega Always'.

Character sketch of —Peehu Bhargava lead protagonist of

Peehu is the true-blue modern Indian girl who is at the zenith of her college life with great friends, an ambition to be a doctor and very much rational. She is flexible enough to mould herself to any trying situation and manages to emerge unaffected because of her level-headedness. She is bubbly, good-looking and yet very religious. Maybe this is what all young collegians in their late teens begin to develop—a mindset of their own!

A believer of imbibing the traditional values and the modern sentiments, Peehu has found a balance between the both to shape her opinions and thought processes. She has the ability to be a good listener and very understanding—the quintessential traits that are needed in a good friend. Therefore, it comes as no surprise that Peehu is seen to be the powerhouse of comfort that shelters the troubled souls in college who seek her not necessarily for solutions, but to ease their minds.

Peehu is an avid reader; this suits the fact that she dreams of pursuing a career in medicine. Although Soham and Krish close friends are very patient, she comes across as a bit too cooperative, in a way that her own feelings are left unexpressed. She realizes that life is to be lived just once and therefore definitely not to be spent in self-pity. She is one determined and free-spirited girl who truly echoes the sentiment to her friends that 'Saath Rahega Always'!

Character sketch—Soham Mehta of the male lead

Soham has earned the sobriquet of being the 'Fixer' and it rightly suits his demeanor. Always the trendy guy, who is flamboyant about his personal style, he manages to carry whatever he wears and accessorize himself with remarkable elan. This 20-year-old knows to pay attention to all that he could get stylish about—be it the shoes, the hair or even his wrist that sports his trademark leather bracelet!

With flamboyance like his, Soham is the most jovial among his friends, and feels the need to be living every moment of his life. He has a joke for every occasion; he is the jukebox that he buddies turn up to for all the little incidents that become hilarious once they are blurted out by the effervescent Soham. It comes therefore as no eyebrow raiser that he is surrounded by girls almost all the time and doesn't mind flirting with them who are intrigued by his 'charisma'.

But he is someone who truly knows to value relationships—he doesn't get into any romantic liaisons easily, but tries his best to live the relationships to the fullest and maintain them for life. He is a non-complaining soul, yet can become annoyingly obstinate even if he knows he is wrong! Living each moment of his life, Soham is carefree about what life has to offer or where the road after college will take him. Nevertheless, he cares only to have fun and be funny, and convey to his friends that 'Saath Rahega Always'.

Personal Profile

Karan Rai (plays Krish Oberoi in the show)

A fitness freak and someone, who wants to make his own film someday, doesn't quite seem to fit the portrait of an analytical software engineer. But the frank and ambitious Karan Rai exactly is all of the above. After delegating his freelance software business to be handled by others, the model on ramp finally touches the television screen with 'Saath Rahega Always' as the dynamic and simplistically sophisticated Krish Oberoi. A gadget and self-confessed techie guy, Karan still has an analytical mind and projects it thus as Krish.

With the Nokia CDMA ad as his first major foray in facing the camera, Karan is enjoying every moment portraying as himself in 'Saath Rahega Always', and gets nostalgic about his own college days as he delivers his lines while seated on the benches in the sets. The engineer who has studied in Pune loves the cool and carefree atmosphere there as compared to the very professional air of Mumbai, but will never bargain any other place for this city that never sleeps. He is the fitness freak as Krish Oberoi who wants to fly high as an Air Force officer. However, Karan wants to fly on another sky—one that will show him the dawn of directing and producing his own film.

This man knows his idols well—Amitabh Bachchan for all that he has managed to achieve in his lifetime, and Naseerruddin Shah whose skills just cannot be replicated by anyone else. With ideals set in his mind and dreams in his eyes, Karan is all set to make a great career in television. But then again, he turns to his bed for a good sleep to relax after a long day of shooting and prefers family and friends to partying to have his spare time turned into beautiful moments. Very appropriately, as the title of his forthcoming serial, he knows to value all relationships and let them know that 'Saath Rahega Always'!

Neha Marda

She is the dancer who has enchanted people with her steps since the age of three. She has won many competitions for her unmistakable talent in Bharatnatyam, Salsa, as also the Hindi-filmi numbers. She is 18-year-old Neha Marda, who debuts in showcasing her acting prowess in SaharaOne Television's new show 'Saath Rahega Always'. She plays the role of Peehu—a free-spirited girl who is very patient and flexible to all kinds of circumstances.

Neha is from Kolkata and is presently juggling a dual life of acting and preparing for her 12th board exams. She is here in Mumbai since two weeks but has been caught in the web of shoots ever since—and is loving every bit of it. A trained Bharatnatyam dancer who considers dancing as the best form of relaxation, Neha is the quintessential bubbly and effervescent girl. She is also very particular about her studies—she knows she has to crack really well in her forthcoming exams so that she can pursue her acting simultaneously with her further studies. She is determined to be able to bend steel—she doesn't intend to do so yet, but believes there is no stopping her in achieving her goals to be a good dancer.

Dancing is her form of relaxation after a hard days' work and this student of Sunrise English School, Kolkata knows it well that she has to do her MBA. Looking up to Sudha Chandran and Madhuri Dixit for inspiration, this religious Marwari girl owes her successes in life completely to the immense support she has received from her family and considers her mother as her lucky mascot. Also into classical singing, Neha has a long way to go—with dreams and determination in her eyes, she truly is a go-getter.

Karan Mehra ( plays Soham Mehta in the show)

He is the suave guy who loves to project himself on screen effortlessly as himself. This is Karan Mehra, who has a theatre background to which he owes his amazing acting skills. Having done his graduation from Delhi University, the archlights beckoned this youngster and theatre under the guidance of Mr. Barry John, followed by a course in acting was the appropriate route.

Soon followed a host of commercials before television beckoned him As he gets ready to light up the screen with his smart, sensitive, flamboyant demeanor in SaharaOne Television's new show 'Saath Rahega Always'. He plays the stylish dude in college who is yet very sensitive and believes in living every bit of his life to the fullest. Just like himself. He is happy to be able to reminisce his own classroom moments of Delhi while shooting for 'Saath Rahega Always' although he senses much more liberty in the college atmosphere here in Mumbai.

Planning to continue acting for sometime, this budding actor looks upon his theatre guru and his true mentor who has groomed him to reach the pedestal he presently is at. Besides, he knows his role models well, and for all the right reasons—Al Pacino, Mel Gibson, and Aamir Khan—they know to light up the screen with their slightest presence. For a hardworking actor that he is, relaxing is the big word for Karan. And this Delhiite who loves to go around biking, has learnt the ways of relaxing the way Mumbai does it—by partying hard!
