Since in our majority numbers of Indian homes are not having television in the bedroom of the family members and having television in their drawing rooms, it requires decency and censorship. Some of the Indian shows did not consider that fact and used to telecast the show. I can remember one episode of Saas Bahu aur Saazish in which they focused on the telecast of EKTAJI's show namely K.Street Pali Hill. In which the scene of the first wedding night was telecasted. And then after it was the matter of REVIEW. Today also all the star one shows had started to take off the top of its male lead artists. They began from Karan Singh Grover then Nikhil chaddha and then Gurmeet Chaudhry and then Karan tacker and many earlier. Since star one is a channel focused on youngster audience this strategy was applied to drag the same. But the facts should be taken into account that every family contains elders and children also. There are very few family having DINC (Double Income No Child) and living in a separate home. JPSYA was the only show on star one which could be watched in front of family.
Star one is having all the shows of love stories without any special theme. Star plus is already known as the favourite channel of 'bigdi hui bahuein'. Colors channel is having shows of rural back drop (even then it is highly melo-dramaticised) (almost).Zee is not having any special theme (apart from Aap ki antara). Sony is not having any special theme (apart from CID).
Today there is no channel (except SAB TV) having the show (except Taarak Mehta Ka Oolta Chashma) conveying to the messages to the society. The channels should review in that direction and should invest in such shows which convey the messages to the society from my point of view television is the best media to convey the messages to the society. Only the need is to divert in the appropriate direction.
