I just saw the episode where Maithili and Anadi were both crying and sad last night. Having read previous posts on this episode I took greater note of the scene.
Personally i do not see any indication that they were crying because they were pining or missing each other.
I just saw a man feeling sad and uptight (he may be falling in love with Maithili at this point - i do not discount that) but i think he was upset over the whole incident, ie, pretending that Maithili was his wife in front of the family and having placed Maithili in a difficult position and for not making a greater effor to send her back to her inlaws immediately after the accident. Some of the sadness may also be due to his own changing feelings and perception of Maithili - he probably appreciates her innate goodness and loving her for it.
As for Maithili - she is the most short-changed person in the whole incident. Naturally she is upset - she lost her husband and then after finding him - lost him again to her friend. That would put anyone into an abyss of sadness. How heartbreaking and confusing it must be to be there in person and to see her friend being given the full status of DIL and to see the man she married to showing his love to her friend whom he thinks is his wife (she must be pretty confused over this - how he could have mistaken Bhavri to be his wife ). I see her crying more over the blow delivered by fate to her. She may be liking Anadi - after all he is a very upright person - more than she realises and will probably fall in love with him. But i don't see it as crying because she is in love with him. I think its probably too soon for that. But she certainly is liking him and concerned over his family.
