Wildcard Round: Mohit Chauhan

O my god! one of my favourite songs!.. this will be difficult to judge..
The high-notes are pleasantly sung. the middle-notes do not seem effortless, there is struggle in the voice singing for some of the parts of the song.
There is a rawness in the voice, which gives the song a husky tone, which is enjoyable.
The part of the song which begins "choray na chootay kabhi.." is very pleasantly sung according to me.
i would like to appreciate this effort, and i would have loved to give it a 9 but based on my judgment on the singing not on my likeness for the overall song, my score will be 8 out of 10.
in-spite of the score, i would like to give an applaud to Mohit 👏 he is not a trained singer, still he has done a great job!

One of the most romantic songs of recent times.
10....

Very well sung - especially like his voice tenor, his breezy projection and the awesome expression he brings into the song. He made the song so urban and extremely memorable.

In terms of difficulty, the song's tune is not very hard to carry off. Neither is it complicated, neither does it have any difficult notes. BUT Mohit's westernised projection is very difficult to do convincingly in a Hindi song. And of course, the lovely feel gets him points!

I want to give it an 8.5 - what say audience and fellow judges? Eight or Nine for Mohit?

Better than I expected singing from Mohit Chauhan.

Well sung throughout I thought. Though his voice quality isn't as good as the other sings, he sings this song well with great feel, he does a great job prolonging his voice throughout the song. Those are the difficult sequences in the song. And does well overall in high pitches as well. Though, there aren't that many difficult portions in this song, and in the ones that were difficult, though I said he sings well, they could've been better. Overall, good performance, better than expected.
