I wrote a poem in Damini and wanted to share
Damini Gujral was one of a kind
An independent woman who spoke her mind
In the beginning she was proud, rude and full of arrogance
This was a girl who rode horses and played with guns
Though she was her mother's right hand, this girl was very easy to rile
She was loyal to her sisters and would give anything to see them smile
Her sizzling chemistry with Prithvi scorched the screen
Confrontation after confrontation, scene after scene.
Her affianced's infidelity left her hurting and vulnerable
Prithvi's action at that time convinced her he was honorable
Seeing them grow closer her mother the topic of marriage broached
Damini grew fonder of Prithvi was the date of the wedding approached
A softer side of Damini during this period time emerged
She loved Prithvi and was going to make sure the marriage worked
I found Damini's hesitation and doubts all the more endearing
This made Chandana's portrayal of the blissful bride all the more compelling
Damini was troubled and frustrated in her failure to understand her husband
Puzzling over his reasons, wondering over his actions many hours did she spend
Eventually she gave up and decided that this a lost cause
She served her husband divorce papers, that gave him pause.
The Marjawan sequence was a pleasure to behold and sensational
Chandana's depicted Damini's pleasure, shyness and awkwardness
In a way that was completely and utterly believable
She was convincing in the way she portrayed Damini's confusion
And her vulnerability and love before the night of passion
Damini was angered and asked Prithvi to leave when his betrayal was revealed
But her mother was really ill a fact her mother had concealed
Inder revealed the secret that to the Gujral name she had no claim
She was cast adrift now, for her identity was tied to the Gujral name
Damini's mother had always been her pillar of strength
Her mother's death left her shocked and completely spent
To fulfill her mother's last wish she decided to give her marriage another chance
But bankruptcy and her husband's useless relatives she had to learn to balance
She took over her mother-in-law's care without so much as a whimper
She became such a calm person, was this really the girl with the temper?
The useless relatives made her believe she killed Prithvi's mother
The poor girl went through hell and put herself through torture
Then the truth was revealed and her fighting spirit came back
She vowed to get even with them and got started taking them to task
She exposed their evil intentions and brought the family together
All misunderstandings
were cleared and they all lived happily ever after
Chandana your acting was the one thing that make the "gharelu" track tolerable
Please after LNMDJ ends take up another assignment as soon as possible
You deserve many plaudits and awards for your performance as Damini Gujral
Congratulations on a stellar performance and best of luck for the future from us all.
