Hrithik Roshan was born 10 January 1974 in Mumbai, India, to Pinky and actor/director Rakesh Roshan. He is the nephew of well-known music director Rajesh Roshan. Music director Roshan is his paternal grandfather, and veteran producer and director J. Om Prakash is his maternal grandfather.

Hrithik Roshan's zodiac sign is Capricorn. His height is approx. 6'2". He has brown eyes and black hairs. He has done B. Com.

Hrithik, who began his career as a child actor in a few films in the 1980s, made his film debut as a leading actor with the blockbuster Kaho naa...pyar hai (2000), which earned him two awards for Best Actor and Best Male Debut at the Filmfare ceremony, as well as numerous other awards. During his career, he was praised for his performances in films like Koi...mil gaya (2003),Krrish (2006) and Dhoom 2 (2006),Jodha Akbar (2008) being his biggest commercial successes so far, and winning him many Best Actor awards each. His commercial success and critically appraised performances have established Roshan as one of the prominent actors of India.

Personal Life

Hrithik Roshan is married to Sussanne Khan, daughter of Sanjay Khan.

The couple had their first child, a baby boy, named Hrehaan Roshan on March 28, 2006 at Lilavati Hospital in Mumbai, India and Hridaan born in 1st may 2008.

*Rakesh Roshan signs the top Latin actress 'Barbara Mori' as the leading lady of his upcoming film 'Kites' opposite Hrithik Roshan.

The film is also starring Kangana Ranaut and is set to be directed by Anurag Basu along with the amazing musical composition by Rajesh Roshan. The remaining cast and credits are currently being finalized. The casting is taking place in Bombay & Los Angeles.

'Kites' is to be shot in New Mexico, Las Vegas and Los Angeles. The film is another Film Kraft Production's presentation and is scheduled to go into production by the end of July 2008

Kaho Naa... Pyaar Hai

Hrithik is an absolute pleasure to watch. Besides his great looks and the Body, he is completely comfortable and un-selfconscious on screen, moves like a gazelle, could probably dance rings around Ricky Martin and HEY- he is a good actor too! He has a double role and plays both convincingly. He completely changes his persona from shy and unassuming to a charmer who can walk the walk and talk the talk.

Fiza

His performance is simply amazing considering this is only his second film. His acting comes very naturally, his facial expressions speak volumes. His riot scenes have to be seen to be believed. His screen presence is impressive.

Mission Kashmir

Hrithik Roshan was outstanding from the start, and this film was different than any ones that he has done.

Yaadein

Yaadein is Hrithik's film all the way. He emotes beautifully, dances like a dream and is every woman's dream come true on screen.

Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham...

The surprise scene-stealer is undoubtedly Hrithik Roshan. He looks dashing, dances like magic, dresses well and proves he can perform too. He clearly holds his own in his scenes opposite Shah Rukh Khan and Amitabh Bachchan.

Main Prem Ki Diwani Hoon

Hrithik Roshan takes his role as a vibrant personality a bit too seriously and ends up delivering a shockingly loud performance. His body language is unnecessarily nervous and overly dramatic. Right from his clothes to his expressions, everything is high-pitched.

Koi... Mil Gaya

Hrithik alone is worth the price of your ticket. Hrithik Roshan's acting is a mega-positive thing. He is the turbojet that propels the film to the realm of the extraordinary. On screen you see Rohit, the mentally challenged adult, and not Hrithik Roshan, the star. Rohit connects with you immediately. His endearing innocence and the clean-hearted fun he indulges in has you in splits.

Lakshya

Hrithik Roshan does a creditable turn as drifter Karan Shergill who finds his goal in the armed forces. Hrithik's performance as the yuppie youth who is transformed into a soldier on a suicidal mission is clearly one of the highlights of this film.

The film isn't about good versus evil, superpowers and great responsibility and love-- the film is about Hrithik Roshan. And he delivers. The actor brings elegance even in aggressive demonstrations of action with his swiftness.HRITIK ROCKED!! ROCKED AND ROCKED, award winning material.

Dhoom 2: Back in action

This is a Hrithik film, he simply takes over the film.He's the actual star of DHOOM 2, the real scene stealer. In fact, you can't imagine any other actor enacting the cool robber with such precision. If there's anyone who's bound to benefit the maximum from DHOOM 2, it's Hrithik. No two opinions on that!
