German girl Claudia's love tale ' bigg' hit

INITIALLY, Bigg Boss Season 3 may have lacked sensationalism.

But now, German model Claudia Ciesla and Mr India 2008, Pravesh Rana, have more than made up for it with their on- screen romance.

Every season of Bigg Boss has featured a romance to boost TRPs. But when it comes to cheesy antics, no one can beat Claudia and Pravesh. In fact, if there is an award for the corniest Bigg Boss couple, these two will win it hands down.

Claudia, who is riding high on her dumb blonde image and her funny attempts to speak in Hindi, has found a safety net in Pravesh, a new entrant.

Pravesh was obviously brought in to fill the ' vacuum' of the romantic hunk. As soon as he entered the show, Pravesh and Claudia were jailed — a ' punishment' for speaking in English. As expected, the couple bonded ' bigg' time in jail.

And it showed. Sample what happened during this week's task. Claudia had to play a nurse while Poonam Dhillon was the doctor and the other housemates, mentally disturbed patients.

Pravesh, the ' madman', made most of the opportunity by screaming for Claudia's attention and saying: " I am checking you out." " I am unwell. I need to be looked after. I want a nurse to take care of me," he cried.

To add to the fun, Pravesh doesn't understand much of Claudia's accented English — or Hindi. Given the language barrier, one often wonders if their nonstop chat sessions — often recorded in long shots — are just lip movements.

Last Friday, Claudia was overjoyed when she knew Pravesh was not evicted. Even the show's host, Amitabh Bachchan, noticed it. " Claudia looks extremely happy about Pravesh spending some more time in the house," he said.

Claudia then replied: " I prefer to spend time with Pravesh as we both are of the same age and he is a helpful and friendly person." Staged romances have always clicked on Bigg Boss — be it between models Aryan Vaid and Anupama Varma in the first season or between Ashutosh Kaushik and Diana Hayden last year.

While it's early to say what the future holds for the couple, they can be rest assured they won't be eliminated from the show.Who will kill the geese that lay TRPs?
