Great job on the update really appreciate it. I am hoping against hope that tomorrow and next week we see DM leaning towards keeping Santu with him not just for his family but for himself also.

I was reading the Navarati stuff and I am also confused in what you meant so we will leave it at that!

Benba is is not going to be happy with Santo doing her job! She is worried about Maulik accepting Santo hehehe, but can I just say the irony is it me or Santo said everyone gave me Ma Ka Darja, hehehe which means she doesn't care about Maulik accepting her! Isn't that a major blooper and wouldn't Hiten or anyone else question her on that?

About the Navratri - a lot of Gujju families do staaphna and bring a garba which is a colored and decorated pot with holes and a diya is lighted in it for all the 9 days. Pooja and fasting is done for 9 days and at night garba is done around this pot. That is what they are talking about.

Baa wants Santu to bring the garba into the house and do the staaphna. This would mean that DM would have to eat food (prasad) from Santu for the 9 days. On the tenth day (Dussera) the pot is immersed in water (ocean or river).

Hope I have been able to explain in a way you all can understand.

Hehe we don't do all that at home we just go to the Garba's and the Pooja at the end of every night!

When my naani was alive she used to have it at her house for all the 9 days. It was so much fun. After she passed away, none of my mamis were in a postition to continue the tradition since they were all working. This tradition once started has to be done every year for life (like Ganapati). Also, the deeya in the garba has to be kept burning round the clock for all 9 days.
