9th September Written Update

Varun comes down wearing shades to which Gajju explains that he has an eye virus.  Avi smiles at seeing Varun and Dadu is relieved that everything went well.  Both couples are seated and the ceremony starts.  Varun and Avi exchange rings.  Adee holds out his engagement ring for Mallika who loses her smile at seeing the size of the diamond.  Revthi mutters to Mallika that it's still not to late to change her mind.

Mafatlal notices the pause and urges Adee to hurry up as he'll get a heart attack if the ring falls.  He explains to Revthi that he spent more on the ring than he did on his own wedding; much to his family's exasperation.  Adee and Mallika also exchange rings before both couples take the elders blessings.  Rajshree watches from a corner with a morose expression.

Later…

Mallika asks Adee about their honeymoon plans to which he replies that they are going to Mt. Abu.  Neither mother nor daughter look impressed and Mallika asks if they can go to Switzerland instead.  Adee replies that there are two weddings in the house and he has been saving for five months for this trip.  Besides, if they are together then what does it matter where they go? 

Pinkesh arrives and congratulates both couples.  Revthi is happy to see him, and even more impressed when Pinkesh pulls out gifts; one of which is a diamond necklace for Mallika.  He apologises and tells them that he won't be at their wedding as this trip proved costly for him –he lost his heart to someone.  Adee tells him not to worry as any girl will be a fool not to accept him.

Mallika refuses the gift as she says that it's to expensive but Revthi takes it on her behalf.

Later the family are playing Dandiya.  Avi's friends stand to one side and overhear an excited Varun telling Gajju that he can't believe his luck – despite knowing his truth she accepted him.  The friends become worried and vow to find out the truth. [Cute scene where Varun bumps in to Avi and both smile shyly at each other].

Throughout the garba, Rajdshree stands watching Adee and Mallika from a side whilst Pinkesh watches Mallika.  Revthi notices this and goes up to talk to him whilst Rajshree is pulled in to the dance but stands in the middle of it all, alone as Adee and Mallika dance around her. 

Avi starts to feel faint and heads away to the dance where she accidentally bumps in to the photographer who drops his photos.  Avi picks them up for him and he leaves.  She notices some pictures left behind – one of which is of Varun in his glasses.  Before she can look through them, Parul comes to Avi who leaves the pictures on a trunk and heads back to the dance.

Avi's friends notice the pictures and are stunned to see the pictures of Varun as Tappu.

Preview:  Rajshree is leaving when Gajju stops her.  She weeps as she tells him that she can't take this anymore and begs him to let her go somewhere far.  Aditya heads towards them
