7th Sept Written Update

Baa is excited about the preparations and asks Anu if she has talked to Mallika's mother.  Anu replies that she will arrive in the evening.  Baa notices that Anu looks concerned and questions her to which Anu replies that she is happy at Adee's happiness but somewhere she feels that Mallika may not be the right girl for him.  Baa assures her not to worry as Adee is a good boy and will not make the wrong decision when it comes to choosing his life partner.

Paro [?] arrives and tells them that they are ready to go to Avantika's.

At the house, Varun's family do all the shagun and Annu places a dupatta on Avi's [Avantika's] head.  It gets stuck in her pin and Rajshree helps her to remove it.  Anu smiles at seeing them together.  Tappu rings and Avantika expresses her happiness at the wedding preparations but is upset that she hasn't seen him since everything started.  She asks to meet him at their coffee shop.

Dadu overhears this and tells Avi that it is a rasam that the bride and groom can't meet before the wedding.  Anu agrees and says that from the Dandia Ras ' after the engagement ' tomorrow until the wedding, Avi and Tappu can not meet.  Dadu is worried on hearing this but Avantika smiles.

The family leave whilst a concerned Dadu wonders how he can stop Tappu and Avi meeting at the engagement.

Later'

Adee tells Baa not to worry as all the preparations have been done.  Baa asks about Mallika's mother to which Adee replies that she should be coming soon.  Mafatlal leaves wondering where Gajju is and shocked to see two men coming in with expensive flowers.  He curses Gajju for spending so much and profiting Ila ben.  Revthi comes in and Mafatlal mistakes her for Ila; asking her why she is trying to make him bankrupt.  Anu arrives and apologises to Revthi for Mafatlal's mistake and ushers Mallika and Revthi towards the rest of the family.

Revthi is not impressed with the fact that Adee lives in a joint family and expresses her distaste at Mallika wishing to leave a lucrative career in modelling to get married.  Mallika tries to cover it up by introducing Revthi to Adee.

Annu offers refreshment i.e. chai but Revthi replies that she only drinks green tea or coffee without sugar.  Annu informs Revthi that they [Revthi and Mallika] will not have to do any preparations, as they will handle everything.  Revthi makes an excuse of a migraine and asks to rest, taking Mallika with her.

In the guest room, Revthi tells Mallika that she likes her choice but is upset that she wasn't told about his circus like joint family.  Mallika replies that she's marrying Adee, not his family.  Revthi tries to tell her that there will be no life for her after marriage.  Revthi assures her that once they get married she will make sure Adee and her move out in to their own house.

Revthi is not convinced but Mallika tells her that she can look after herself and asks Revthi to hand the sweets out to the family.  Revthi is disgusted and goes to throw the box of sweets on to the floor but stops as Adee comes in.  He apologises but Mallika assures him that they were coming down anyways.

Mallika hands over the shagun sweets to the family and they tell Revthi about their wish to have Mallika and Adee's engagement on the same day.  Revthi reluctantly agrees.  Adee feeds mithai to Mallika and tells her that he is very happy.  Rajshree loses her smile on hearing this.

Pinkesh arrives with gifts for Adee and Tappu ' gold watches.
