The stupendous box-office success of Ayan is the best gift that Suriya received this year, on his birthday which falls today (July 23). From the soft romantic hero, he has metamorphosed into a larger than life six-pack super hero, and is clearly the number 1, among the younger lot of actors.

The superstar will be celebrating his birthday at Cape Town in South Africa, where he is shooting for his K.S Ravikumar directed Aadhavan. He is doing dangerous stunt scenes along with foreign trained stuntmen for the film.Suriya will be back in Chennai from Cape Town on Monday morning (July 27), after completing the climax of the film. He will start work on his new film Singam , his silver jubilee film directed by Hari from August.
