I really cannot fathom why it was necessary for mamaji (and everyone else involved) to set up this wedding in the first place. What exactly has changed since the original wedding? Alekh still has no concept of husband-wife.. he thinks of Sadhana as a toy you give to your best friend and then realise that you are too selfish to part with it. He still cannot provide for Sadhana (he needs to borrow money to buy her a gift), protect her (from vicious goons or angry mother-in-law), have any sort of normal adult relationship with her (I am not even going into the physical part of a marriage). So, how has the mamaji's original objections to this wedding has changed in any form/ (Alekh is not scared of red roses anymore.. if you consider that as changeđ). The reasons that he was so against this wedding are all still alive and kicking.
So, was the only reason for mamaji to come up with this idea is to satisfy his own wishes to give Sadhana a grand "Bidaai" and fulfill societal obligations? Couldn't this wedding have waited till there was at least some progress in Alekh's treatment?
