So i was just thinking....

What do you want to do at your wedding? Anything Special in mind?
Tell everyone everything from nail polish color to the decorations on the table at the reception😆
Being a girl, i for one think about this a lot. So hopefully im normal and everyone else does too!

1. What is going to be the color of your outfit at the Wedding. Include the shoes/purse etc.

2. Suit or Lengha?

3. Matching Jewelry? What kind-light jewelry, heavy jewelry/color?

4. Nail polish color? or manicured nails? (white tip?)

5. How much mehndi are you going to put on? (only on your hands..up to your elbow..up to upper arm)

6. Tikka on forehead? The Nose Ring thing...bindhi's above your eyebrows?

5. How much mehndi are you going to put on? (only on your hands..up to your elbow..up to upper arm) On my hands.

6. Tikka on forehead? The Nose Ring thing...bindhi's above your eyebrows? Yes to everything, except the nose ring.

7. Airbrushed Make-up? Nope

8. Are you going to get make-up done by an indian person/salon or MAC or sephora or something like that? Both?😆

10. If your a sikh/punjabi...how long are you going to wear the chuda? OH GOSH! I am so jealous of all you punjabi's! I want to wear them so bad. I don't care, I'll wear them anyways. That isn't bad, is it? My mom and all my aunts wore them, but she(my mom) says we're not Punjabi...whatever that means.😆I'm North Indian, so I guess I fit the bill. I guess if my mom did, then I will. I'd say maybe a couple months. I made a post about chuda, and now I am sure I will wear them. I want to hear everyone elses reply on the chuda question.😆

13. What are you going to wear at the Reception. Color? An orangeish pink sari with silver work, a diamond set, chuda, and matching shoes.

14. Take all your old clothes with you, or make your parents why everything new? I want everything new. It's a new start in life, so I want to start fresh.

15. Stay in the same city/state or would you rather move far away? I'd say stay in a relatively close area.

16. Honeymoon? 😉Of course!

17. In-Laws or no In-Laws? I'd say, maybe for the first initial months. Like while I'm wearing my chuda.😆

Fantastic!! So its not just me who plan a lot about my wedding!!!I dream a lot of it. 😍Mostly about my looks, the saree I should be wearing, the ornaments. ...I don't want a very grand wedding, just a simple one, with all the rituals, and all my friends and relatives attending it.

I am very particular about the food, don't want people to complain about the food.😃

Having said all this, I must admit that i am just 18+. LOOONG way to go b4 I get there!But I'll get married only after getting a high-profile well respected job, and made my mark in that. I wanna share my wedding expenses with my parents too...so for that, I should make enough money.

I wish for a pink Saree. Baby pink, if possible. High-heels, simple, graceful looking sandals.

Saree. Am a South-Indian!

Nope. I once wanted to ear platinum, but have settled for Gold. About 3-4 medium sized necklaces, I hate wearing a lot of ornaments.Two thick bangles, antique ones, on each hands. Nose stud. Rare-shaped ear-rings. 2 fingure-rings each on both hands. Anklets. Khallas!!

Yup. Light pink one.

Not upto my elbow.But a bit below it.

Nose stud, for sure. No Bindi's above eyebrows! But I plan to put that thing on your head...dunno what u call it in Hindi.

Nope. simple, normal one. I plan to do it myself. I wanna have tht golden glow, and most beauticians don't give you that. I've seen how a lot of my cousin's looks hve been spolied by the beauticians on their D-Day!

I am in two minds about that. I plan to wear a Lehenga..but I wanna wear only platinum jewellery with a Lehenga. A two coloured one, light blue, if possible.

I won't make my parents buy everythign new. I'll but them myself.

i am defo going to wear red, as i am the youngest and i have 3 older sisters who are all married now and none of them have worn the traditional red colour, i havnt thought of the embroidery colour or design as of now

for the religious ceremony i want to wear a suit and then for the party a nice lehnga( the red one)

A traditional red lengha. I have the color in mind but cant describe it😳
this is the only pic i found that is close enough. The lengha on the left side, the red color of the chunni/dupatta =]
Either that shade of red, or a darker shade =]
i have a suit which is the shade i want of my wedding lengha but couldnt find the exact color anywhere Oh well, we'll see how it works out =D
and i want gold embroidery on the lengha. The top should have only a border of embroidery at the bottom and a border at the sleeve. It'll lool bad with too much. And a nice well embroidered chunni/dupatta

hmmm...i went to a wedding and the girl had manicured tips(fake nails) and they looked really cute with her lengha.

So manicured for me!

We cover our heads in punjabi weddings, so a tikka looks gorgeous!
no bindhi's
and not sure abt nose ring

Light airbrushed make-up =]
or maybe powdered
whichever doesnt look like im wearing too much

Im gonna wear the chuda for the wedding day
Take it off for reception cause the bangles have to match my lengha 😆
but maybe i'll wear it for a few days
and then take it off but keep 3-4 bangles on my wrists for a while
thats what my cousin did...she had to move from cali so she had to go on the airplane & all the people were looking at her weird
Chuda + Jeans= Misfit😆
so she wore a few bangles on her wrists for a while

maybe Dark Green/Blue idk..no reds or oranges..too similar to wedding lengha

But guy has to match a little
i went to a wedding and the girl was wearing a blue lengha
and the guy was wearing a white tux with the same color blue vest underneath =]
