16 April:WRITTEN UPDATE: Old feelings return ..

The episode begins with DM at the door after Santo gives a verbal cue to Kaduu to
stop her banter about her loving Sandeep ... Kaduu turns around and is stunned
to see her dad .. DM calmly walks over to her ..

DM: You had a complaint right? That I did not let you meet this Duggu before you
got married to him .. dont worry .. he is coming tonight .. I will
also see him and you also make sure and remove all your doubts about him .. you are very
lucky to get married into Meghna's house, because she will
keep you as a daughter ..

DM hugs Kaduu and she looks at Santo accusingly. Santo cannot bear that look
 and rushes down the stairs ..everyone is working for the arrangements but Santo is worried
about the engagement and more so because Kaduu is not ready to marry
anyone else other than Sandeep. Santo decides that she must talk to DM anyhow ..

DM wallks down the stairs in a hurry, he is leaving for the airport.. Santo walks
after him, wanting to talk to him about Kaduu .. DM tells Meghna that he's leaving
for the airport .. Meghna asks him how he shall recognize Duggu .. DM tells her that he will
definitely recognize her son .. confidently, he leaves ...

Kadambari is frustrated and locks herself inside the room .. she calls up Sandeep
and tells him that they have no time left and that Duggu is arriving that night
and the next day it is her engagement .. Sandeep tells her not to lose hope ..

Kadambari tells him that it is very difficult to win over her dad and hopes
Duggu fails at impressing DM.. Sandeep tells Kaduu his plan over
the phone, telling her to be extra cautious so that no one suspects she is behind it all .. especially
DM .. Kaduu is worried ..

Meghna and Baa are singing Gujarati folk songs and Meghna tells Motiben and Baa
that Gujarati folk songs have their own charm and feel and asks Baa
if they can have a traditional garba-raas at the engagement .. that would be very nice ..
Knowing that people from Santo's community know how to dance,
Moti-ben calls Santo over .. but Baa is upset that Taruben has called Santo .. and
takes Meghna away on pretext of selecting sarrees..

Moti-ben rattles off a list of things that Santo has to do ... and
gives her instructions for things that will take a lot of time to complete.. and includes
getting ghee from another village, lamps from her house, folk artists to sing
and dance at the wedding and more .. it is Moti-ben's ploy to keep
Santo away from the house as much as possible .. Santo leaves for the tasks ..

DM is at the airport and Duggu's flight arrives .. the passengers walk through one by one  but DM
is unable to recognize Duggu .. desperately, he calls Meghna and asks for a description
of Duggu .. Meghna tells him that he is in white .. DM remembers seeing him and turns
around to see Duggu sitting with his luggage .. (Duggu is Shashank, for the uninitiated)
Duggu is smiling broadly at DM .. DM beckons him over .. Duggu touches his feet ..
DM asks him why he was pulling his leg ... Shashank tells him that he was not pulling his leg, but just
wanted to see if he would recogize him .. DM tells him that the last time he saw Shashank was
when he was 12 .. and there is a lot of difference between then and now ..

S: Well, you may not have recognized me .. but I recognized you .. I had come to the Dharampur Mela ..

DM: You had come to the Dharampur mela? Then why did you not come over to my house??

S: Yes I was here for some research .. and you were the malik of Dharampur..

DM: So?

S: I didnt want you to know I was here .. I wanted to continue my reserach without your
influence in Dharampur, that's why .... I am sorry ...

DM: No no it's perfectly alright ... you have good thoughts and intentions ..

They both leave for home .. on their way back,  Shashank sees the well of Khodiyar Maa and it
instantly reminds him of Santo and all the moments they had spent
together .. he gets out of the car .. DM asks him why he stopped here... Shashank walks up to the well

S: Do you beleive in God?

DM: Aah .. I think you mean Khodiyaar Maa ..

S: Yes .. you know people in Dharampur wish by dropping a coin ..

DM: Yes I know .. did you forget my name? I am Dharamraj, malik of Dharampur, I know
everything related to Dharampur .. but how did you know?

S: One girl from your village told me ..

Shashank throws a coin into the well .. DM asks him what he wished for ..

S: I wished for the strength to tell you the truth ..

DM is perturbed ..

Shashank and DM reach home and DM acts a little indifferent to Shashank .. Kaduu is peeping
from above the stairs .. everyone welcomes Shashank .. but DM stays behind ..

M: What is the matter DM?

DM: Well your son has done such a thing , I am definitely going to be affected ..

M: Why, what happened?

DM : Meghna, Shashank cannot be my son-in-law ..

Kaduu smiles at this statement ..
everyone is shocked, especially Shashank and Meghna ..

DM : He will be my son ...

Everyone is releived and bursts into laughted ..

DM : What say Shashank? You thought you were the only one who could have some fun?

Rasik tells DM that they will now leave for their own guest house because they have to receive some
guests from their side and they will come directly for the engagement with Shashank ..
DM reminds them that the engagement is at the guest house ..
they leave .. Kaduu is very worried ...

Santo returns to the house early next morning, having completed ALL the things Moti-ben
had asked her to .. Champakali meets her and takes her bags and tells
her that Duggu arrived yesterday and everyone was very happy and DM liked him a lot ..
Santo is happy to hear it and asks about Kaduu ..

C: What about her? She will not dare go against malik's decision .. you have not seen him, right? Wait
and I will get you his photograph ..

Hiten is sitting outside Nanaji's house, all sad .. Mongi notices that and goes sits down in
front of him ..

M: Why are you so sad? Today is your sister's engagement ... why dont you go there?

H: If I go, who will work here?

M: You dont worry about that .. today is your holiday from my side .. if banevilal asks you something, tell
him I have consented for your day off ..

H: No .. it was him who said I must be here till my punishment is complete ..

M: Yes you are right, he will be very angry ..
if you cant go, why dont you talk to your sister?

H: I dont have a phone ..

M: Go to Karzan kaka's place. . I'll tell you where it is ..

Hiten is thoughtful ..

Santo is walking in the courtyard and Motiben taunts her for coming back without completing all her work ..
Santo tells her that she has completed everything that she was told to and Moti-ben
is totally shocked .. Champakali comes with Shanky's photograph but motiben takes it away,
telling her that Santo will see for herself ..

She leavees .. Santo is worried about what will happen at the engagement and whether
Kaduu will agree ..

I am so happy that the writers are not taking
it down the expected path .. for me, that is Bandini's USP ..
