hey everyone
i was just wondering if u guys could help me out here.. i had acne and acne scars on my face.. and my dermatologist prescribed me 2 medications .. Clindoxyl Gel for the morning.. and Stieva-A 0.05% cream before bedtime.. as i was using them in the first 2 days everything was perfect and no irratation occured and 3 days later im starting to get very irrated on my face where i apply it.. and redness occurs alot as well.. and im not able to get an apointment wid my doc anytime in the next week yet.. as theres no appointments avaliable.. so i started doing like.. the day i put the morning cream on.. i dont put the night one on.. and the day i put my night cream on . that day i dont use the morning one.. basically using the creams each day.. but using ONE cream per day..(basicaly using an individual cream every OTHER day) that sort of helps..
but any more suggestions u could offer me..
thanks =)

hmm if the medicine still is bothering you even when you switched to using one prescribed medication every other day i think you should stop
instead of using what he/she prescribed, use a face/ace wash instead cuz not all the time prescribed medications work
otherwise i think you should ask your dermatoligist

my doc gave me differin, and for the first 2-3 weeks, it made my skin red and dry as hell! But the doctor warned me that it was going to happen so i kept using it and it got better...if its getting red maybe the medicine is working?

and for the first 2 weeks, she made me use my differin gel every other day...

Same happened with me...but i still used it everyday as it works better! If dryness is the only problem, keep applying the medication everyday, but use a moisturizing lotion! My doctor gave me tons of samples and stuff...and the best moisturizer was Ceravex. Ceravex Moisturizer and Hydrating Cleanser!
