For everyone, incase you are interested... "maadu" in Tamil -- is the cow.π
"Mattu Pongal" is celebrated here on the 15th, a day after the actual Pongal festival...
Actually, it is Pongal celebrated again with the cow being the onus on this day.
This is when the farmers' cows are honoured for all their patient toil alongside the farmers.π
