During the end of the Mahabharat track on KGGK on the night that Saasha (Chetan Hansraj) loses the love of his life and runs insane, we are introduced to two new families... Gills and the Kauls. The Gill family is headed by Harpreet Gill and his wife Anjana (Indira Krishnan) who is an old friend of Parvati's. The occassion of the night is that Harpreet and Anjana's daughter Gayatri (Rupali Ganguly) is getting engaged to Sameer Kaul who's parents are Bhushan and Neeraja Kaul.

Another twist is introduced herein when Bhushan's rakhi sister and Sameer's Bua makes an appearance at the engagement party and she turns out to be none other than Pallavi Agarwal (Achint Kaur). The family is shocked to see Pallavi who then comes to the Agarwal Mansion to meet her Bahu Gunn (most memorably played by Purva Ghokale).

Pallavi's entrance into the mansion is disregarded by everyone and she leaves empty handed. From thsi point on however, Pallavi manages to stumble on some new information that indicates Shruti may not be Parvati and Om's biological daughter. In Amritsar, Pallavi finds out that Shruti and Gayatri were exchanged as babies. The truth becomes hard for everyone to accept. Pallavi then joins hands with Mallika and Saasha (whom she has taken out of the Asylum) and once again brews a storm in Parvati's direction. Parvati manages to get out of this but not before Shruti and Sameer fall in love.

Another love triange ensues between Shruti, Sameer and Gayatri when Anjana begs Shruti to sit on the mandap with Sameer due to Gayatri's absence in the house where no one knows she's gone to save Harpreet Gill from getting into a major scandal. Gayatri continues living with Sameer as his wife and gets pregnant because Sameer has no idea that he married Shruti.

Not long after this incident Om (apparently) dies in Aehmdabad and Parvati is widowed. After Om's death the next big memory of these two characters is brought into play. The character of Suyash Mehra is introduced (memorably played by Mohnish Bhel and Anoop Soni). He is a business tycoon who believes that a woman like Parvati's place should be in the kitchen. Pallavi meets Suyash Mehra and falls in love with him but much to her dismay he falls in love with Parvati. Pallavi feels betrayed again and claims that she has lost the man of her dreams a second time because of Parvati.

In an interesting twist of events, both Parvati and Pallavi are invited to Anjali's (Anita from Kavyanjali) engagement ceremony at the Nanda House. It has been established by this time (during a previous crossover episode) that Parvati has known Anjali and her late sister Anjum since they were children and that Pallavi is a friend of Vanshita Nanda (Kavya's Chachi). Parvati arrives at the party for no other reason but to find evidence leading to Om's murder after Anjali shows her a letter that Kavya sent her before he died.

Pallavi is after the same piece of evidence which is hidden in a box with Parvati's name on it. Pallavi leaves the party with the box and Parvati is pursuing her when she sees the Kavya look-alike walking into the party. She also sees someone trying to kill him and while she's battling with the shooter, Anjali gets into a catfight with Pallavi who is running away with Parvati's box. The shooter fires his gun and Pallavi gets shot in the arm. Parvati takes the box and then also takes Pallavi to the hospital. At this time Parvati believes that her evidence states that Suyash Mehra killed Om. She then gets into a contract marriage with Suyash to Pallavi's utter misery. But Parvati is out to destroy Suyash who is actually aware of the fact that it was Trishna Kocher Agarwal (Meeta Vashisht) and his wife Rajeshwar Mehra (Kiran Dubey) who killed Om.

Soon after this, Rajeshwari kills Krishna in front of Parvati and she is unable to do anything. A memorable moment here is when Pallavi walks into the Agarwal Mansion and breaks down in front of everyone and Kamal consoles her. Kamal and Pallavi have an emotional goodbye after Krishna's death and part ways on good terms. Parvati is then arrested for Om and Krishna's murders and this marks the second change in Parvati's character from Parvati Agarwal to Janki Devi with the second leap on KGGK of 18 years when the next generation is introduced.

After the 18 year transition, Pallavi returns as Pammi Nanda - wife of a business tycoon who's involved with the underworld (the character was a cameo played by Anang Desai). Parvati finds Pallavi when she goes out looking for Chotu who was kidnapped from Mayuri's care many years ago after Mayuri killed Gayatri and cared for Chotu as her own.

Chotu has run insane and Pallavi is keeping him safely hidden from Parvati but then releases him into her care. Together Parvati and Pallavi decide to nurse Chotu back to health but Pallavi lives in the hope that when Chotu recovers, he will shatter Parvati's dreams by revealing that he's the biggest gangster in the underworld. Saasha returns at this point as Chotu/Ishan's boss and Parvati even joins forces with him to try and turn her grandson down the good path.

A series of unfortunate events occue thereafter and Pallavi is next seen when she comes back to save Parvati from Trishna's evil conspiracy. Pallavi, with the help of Saasha, gathers together all of Parvati's protoges - Pragati, Ishan, Adi and Aditi to help rescue Parvati from Trishna.

Pallavi and Parvati have now buried the hatchet forever and have joind forces for a good cause once and for all.

The end of KGGK will mark the end of Achint Kaur's portrayal of the character of Pallavi.

Interesting trivia on this section is that Saakshi Tanwar, Mohnish Bhel and Kiran Dubey were seen in yet another soap together - Devi on Sony - where Saakshi's character Gayatri was married to Mohnish's charcater Vikram whom he then kills. Saakshi went on to portray the role of the Goddess but with her exit, the producers brought Kiran in as Urvashi, who at the time was pretending to be Gayatri after plastic surgery.
