Next morning Naina rushed to Zaid's cabin.
"kya hua Naina?"
She gave him an envelope. Even without looking at it, he was getting a hint. She nodded answering him.
Again the envelope had his address printed and sticks to it. He turned it around. There was a single line again.
"Missed me?? -Arjun"
Zaid took a moment to open the envelope. Naina looked eagerly to know what the content was. He read it loud for her.

Hello ACP,
Surprised to see me back? Yes as you expected I was not planning to come back. Because you both had disappointed me long time.
Par kya karu? As I said in my first letter, hum dono ke destiny already jud chuki hai. Tho mien kaun ho usse thodne wale? But that dosen't means that I expect you to repeat your action again. I had good expectations on you officer, and I still have. So don't try to break it again.

Zaid looked up at Naina who was listening to every word with breath held tight.
They both sat down to digest whats going on around. Naina cleared her throat and tried to voice up to list out the material.
"so he is giving us a second chance.aur uss club me zaroor kuch horaha hai. par what did he mean at the end? Uske nazar humpe hai? matlab??"
Zaid was also thinking in the same line. "jo bhi hai,wo kal se patha chalega"
Na: so are we going?
Za: yes.lets see whats in store for us this time.
Na: and its also a chance to know about Shaleen also.

After much pressure Masa allowed Sha to go back to home after 3 ays, when she will also be leaving for her home. She too had herown works for the upcoming shaadi.
In between her talks to Sam, she mentioned about Naina's visit to temple and their talks. Though Masa had taken it casually he felt it was not so.
Ma: Sam, kya Sha kabhi bhi Shaina se mili hai?
Sam: no. they never got a chance to meet each other. Kyu?
Ma:Naina was eager to know about that.
Sam just nodded and wondered why. Masa explained what Naina told her about Sha-Shaina-Tripati incident.
Sam: haan, Sha uss ladki ke bare me bathaya tha. Par usse ye nahi patha ke wo Shaina hai.
She nodded absently for it.
That evening Sam was casually talking to Sha when he asked if he had ever met Shaina. He too declined saying he never got chance.
Sam thought for a while deciding whether to inform him or not. He looked at Sha who was on call, obviously with Roshni. Lately they are getting very well as friends. Aisha had also mentioned that Sha and Roshni are spending good time together deciding over the shaadi under Masa's guidance.
Even Aisha didn't know anything about the plans, but was happy to see Sha doing well. She had informed it to Sam too.
Sam decided not to say about Shaina to Sha unless it was really needed. He didn't want him to be upset again.

Next evening Zaid and Naina had entry pass for the club. Clad in a party gown with a mask, and with Zaid who was in his party dress too completed with mask, walked into the party. Flashy lights and sizzling song was in the air.
They entered and saw everyone was as a pair. He knew he had to blend in with the surroundings. He gave his hand for Naina who could not refuse it as the situation demanded. He held her close to him and walked in. she was feeling awkward at the proximity, still she let helself go with the wind.
They moved to a counter and had glass of cold drinks and posed to enjoy the party, while they were having a good look at the party. As everyone had the mask, it was hard to know whats going on and to whom.
Na: this is not easy Zaid. What or who are we expecting out here?
Za:I have no idea.lets wait.
The music changed to a hit number. All were aksed to join in the dance floor by the one in charge. They could see almost all were on the dance floor. A particular girl in a red gown was taking feeble steps while dancing, evidently high on drinks. Zaid and Naina also took the dance floor keeping an eye out on the surroundings.
The girl in red took a special interest on Zaid and started dancing closer to him.
Both Zaid and Naina were not having a good feel about it. They knew the girl was not in full sense. But still the expectation of something made them give her a special attention.
Many things happened together.She missed a step and fell on him and he was quick to hold her back. As his and Naina's attention was on her, a guy passed by Naina. In between she felt him brushing his hands closer to her palm. Before she could register anything, he was missed in the crowd. And there was a small envelope rolled up in her palm. He turned back to Zaid who was asking a few attenders to get her to a seat. He turned to Naina, and something told him that something had gone wrong in minutes back.

He went to her and she gave him the envelope, looking around. She dosen't remember who was it who had passed it to her. And all were in a mood of fun and dancing. All had their masks on and none looked suspicious.

"who was it, Naina?"

"I don't know Zaid. I didn't see him."

They both knew it was not possible to look for the person in this group. Still they looked about to see who it might have been. But in vain. They walked out to the parking lot and entered the car, removing the mask. Naina was very upset with herself for not keeping a tab on that person. Zaid assured her and opened the rolled up envelope. There was a small chit, printed again.

SK docks. 3 am. 2 ship consignment. Have a look. Arjun

Simple note with simple message. They were not in a position to ponder over what they had missed. But now there was something else that needed the attention. Before starting the car, Zaid and Naina had a phone call each.

Zaid's informer told that Shaleen was with Sameer, Aisha, Roshni and Masa in a film theatre. After that, they went to a restaurant having a family time. They were still over there at the moment.

While Naina's informer said that Shaina had gone back to her hostel after a small shoping with Maya by 6 30 pm. And never came out later as it was not allowed in the hostel timing.

They both knew something else was going on, so sprang on to find it out.

When the car zoomed out, another guy smiled to himself, happy that his work was done. He went to his own car and started back to home. He too, never enjoyed parties. If it was not for "him", he would have never been here.

He drove back to home content that he could help in at least the minimum way possible.

Months back, he was a happy go-lucky guy who was enjoying his college days. Him and his 4 best friends were truly living the moment.

Aditi, Pankaj, Siva, Jhanvi and himself, Karan.

All was going smooth until the time when Jhanvi had to leave Mumbai to attend a conference. Guys didn't go as they didn't want to be in middle of such boring talk and that too for whole 3 days. And together with that, the upcoming Inter college sport meet needed special attention. Aditi who was planning to join her dropped off at the last moment due to the sudden viral fever attack. The "geeky"Jhanvi who loved books and lectures over bunked classes and movies didn't want to miss such an oppurtunty. She went for it.

She kept in touch when she was free over there. 3 day later she was back. She didn't attend the calls nor did she come to college. All took it as her tiredness after the trip.

Late in the evening, they were shocked by the news of Jhanvi attempting suicide. They went to see her in the hospital. Her parents were terribly shattered by her attempt. She was sinking by the loss of blood through the slashed vein. Doctors didn't have much hope.

If that was not all enough, doctors gave hints of Jhanvi been molested.

She had very little time left and her friends went to meet her. She was having her last breaths. And after constant asking she breathed out a name. "Shastri Sir"

Soon her vitals were drowning and she beeped out.

It took a time for him and his friends to come out of the shock. And once they were out of it, he filed a complaint. Shastri sir was supposed to be out in that city too, but he claimed to be attending a function. Case dissolved as quickly as it came. There were no proofs. Soon a dark mark came to Jhanvi's name. That was too much for them.

They started a protest with a small bunch of friends for justice. Thye made rallies and it hit newspaper. But it was wrapped up soon as the college gave warnings about their future in the college. Soon the group size reduced and it was just four of them after 2 months.

Karan was restrigated from the college for being violent to the Sir. His other friends tried to quit the college too. But he stopped them. He still wanted justice. He approached some newpapers to print his views, but none allowed. Soon he took the best option that is the social networking sites. A few followers did make presence. Police started their name sake enquiry. Shastri was arrested. But court gave him bail. The justice was delayed very long for months.

And one such day Karan gets a parcel. It was a brown envelope with a letter and a CD. He read the letter. It was simple one.

Justice delayed is not always justice denied.

The CD showed Shastri being tied up and bruised. He was confessing every bit of his action. Starting from how he met Jhanvi in that city, who was happy to meet him in that city. He asked her to join for a cool drink after the meeting. How he spiked her drink and took her to his room stating she was his relative. And what happened later. The way he made sure she kept quite. How he bribed the police and authorities who ever came in his way.

He was speaking with a terror face, facing someone who was not on the screen with him. He looked weak too. Focus went to the hand which was bleeding all the way now. The same way that Jhanvi had commited suicide.

Karan was shocked to see it. He took it to the police. They found Shastri dead later. Karan was accused of murder which was soon proved wrong as he had proof.

Next day news came in Evening Times from Arjun. And somewhere Karan knew that it was Arjun who had helped him. Though he never got a chance to thank him. But still he thanked the unknown man, without taking any name, through the social networking sites.

But he did get a chance when he got a similar envelope at his door steps, a few days back. When he opened it there was an envelope addressed to ACP Zaid, another small envelope that was rolled and a printed letter for himself.

It was brief asking him to return a favor by posting it to Zaid and to do another help, attending the party in the next evening. He was more than happy to return the favor. And thus it happened tonight.

Shaleen had a great time with his family. They had to pull Masa for the outing with them. The movie time was fun and so was the dinner. He was cherishing every moment.

Now there were no awkward moments with Roshni. She was a fun loving girl, who knew how to keep quite at times too.

He has already noticed her looks to him at times. Though he tried to not show it out, he was enjoying her peeping. She at times looked as if she knew a big secret.

All headed home after the fun.

Late night Arjun was so happy. His plan was working. He was happy that Sha was out of radar now, at least temporarily. He knew Karan would help. He had seen the sincerity in that guys words when he spoke in the social networking sites on various issues. Maybe he never knew that Arjun was also keeping a tab on his regular blog and sites.

Now it was time to set wheels in motion, again...
