Part 18

Aastha set with him in mandap and took oaths to live with him for next seven births. Shlok looked at her face and smiled with winning gazed. Aastha glared her with straight face. Pandit ji was ready to conduct garland ceremony.

Shlok took the garland in his hand and moved his hand towards Aastha. She took one-step back to prevent him when he hold her hand and told firmly

"Don't try to create a scene jaan... Just remember about your mother throat and my hunch man knife, it can be dangerous for mother if you take your step back again" he said in her ear softly.

She looked worried. She took her garland and preceded the ritual silently. Shlok put the garland in her neck.

"This is our first step towards our life, congrats dear. I love you" Shlok moved bit close to her and said.

Again, Pundit ji told them about vermillion ritual and Shlok took the vermillion in the ring and put that in Aastha's hair partition. Aastha made puppy face. She did not have control on that. Her remote control in Shlok's hand. Vermillion shined on her nose also with her hair.

"Groom loves very much to the bride," someone mocked with them. Shlok gave a happy look.

She looked around everywhere but she could find a glance of Varad. He was not seen there.

She became sad on that and cursed herself "it was your mistake Aastha. You offended him. He will never talk to you after that. You should tell him everything" she loses her last hope to come out from this. She could not do anything now.

Pandit ji told Shlok to complete the Mangala sutra ritual; Shlok took the thread in his hand and tied that around Aastha neck.

"Now I tied you with my name completely. You have to accept me with all my faults. Congrats once again to share a life with me under the same roof" he said to her in polite way. He gazed her face intensely.

Pandit ji told them to take a first oath from seven

"In the first round or phera, the couple prays to God for plenty of nourishing and pure food. They pray to God to let them walk together so that they will get food." Pandit ji described the meaning of first round.

Aastha gave a fierce look to Shlok and repeated the line of first round while in her mind she took another oath

"Just wait and watch Shlok. I will make your life hell. You will forget how to eat peacefully" she looked him and smirked.

Shlok knew what Aastha could think. He also smirked and thought in his mind

"You will have to eat with me; you will have to live with me... Unless you will not able to think anything my dear" he was ready to take second oath, took Aastha hand in his hand, and completed the first phera. Shlok felt something divine. This was the first step, which connect them for next seven births.

Aastha felt weird at the time. She did not know that was she happy or not but she had some amusement in her heart after the first round.

"Now you both have proceeded to second phera. According to the second oath, in the second round, the couple prays to God for a healthy and prosperous life. They ask for the physical, spiritual and mental health from God." Pandit ji described about the second oath.

Shlok hold Aastha hands, took the round of fire, and made a promise to him "I always care Aastha like my own life. I cannot let happen anything to her until my last breathe," he thought with strong will of love and care.

"In my life I will make your health miserable." Aastha took the oath and completed the round.

In the third Phera the couple prays to God for wealth. They ask God for the strength for both of them so that they can share the happiness and pain together. In addition, they pray so that they can walk together to get wealth.

" I will give you everything which you want my dear even before you say" Shlok smiled to her

"I will destroy all your wealth so you will be bagger of road," she thought snobbishly.

"In the fourth round the couple prays to God for the increase in love and respect for each other and their respective families." Pandit again told them about the fourth oath, which made them look to each other instantly. Shlok had a smirk in his eyes, which Aastha ignored. She did not want to encourage him.

"Your love is my oxygen of life. I will make sure that my love also become your power, your life and we can live happily ever after with each other with all of love and blissful life." Shlok looked in her eyes and said all that with the help of his silent eyes.

"Happily ever after, don't dare to think about it darling because I will make sure that my hate change your life dream in nightmare." She gave her evil look.

"The bride and groom together pray for the beautiful, heroic and noble children from God in the fifth step." Pandit ji explained about the fifth oath. Aastha felt uncomfortable with that. Shlok hold her hand tight and pushed that with naughty smile.

"I love children very much dear, I want to make a cricket team with you if you will be agreeing," he told in her ear when she gave a raged look to her. Her face becomes red like tomato.

"How cheap you are" she replied him in meek voice and turned her eyes from him to fire.

"I will not let you touch to me any cost. I cannot bear your closeness even... So see your cricket team in your dream only" she thought in her mind and grinned her teeth.

Pandit ji came to sixth oath "In the sixth holy round around the fire, the couple asks for the peaceful long life with each other."

"Peace in his life... no chance... I will make a thunder in his life... either peace or me only one can survive with him" she gave a look and smiled strain.

" I know if I took Aastha in my life then I have to struggle for live s Shlok Agnihotri forget about the peace in your life" he thought and looked Aastha's strain face.

"In the final seventh round the couple prays to god for companionship, togetherness, loyalty and understanding between themselves. They ask God to make them friends and give the maturity to carry out the friendship for lifetime. The husband says to his new wife that now they have become friends after the Seven Vows/Sat Phere and they will not break their friendship in life." Pandit ji describe them seventh and final oath.

Shlok hold Aastha palm and gave her repeat the all words and promise her that he always be with her in any situation. Aastha looked in his eyes and some moment passed like this. Shlok complete the last round around the fire as looking in her eyes constantly.

"Having exchanged these vows of love, duty, respect, fidelity and a fruitful union the couple agree to be companions forever. The process of saat phere acquires more significance in that the couple prays for the peace and well-being of the entire universe." Pandit ji finished the rituals and asked the newlyweds couple to take the blessings of elders. Shlok and Aastha took the blessings from Pandit ji and then Shlok moved towards a room. Aastha was surprised that where he was going.

Finally, he entered in the room. Shlok looked at Aastha and signal her to take blessings. Aastha was relieved to see her mother perfectly all right in front of her eyes. She gave a furious look to Shlok who smiled

"Dear take the blessing from my dear mother in law" he touched her feet. She gave them blessings for happy life

"Shlok I know you were not wrong in Swati matters. That was karma of her. My Aastha is a child as heart so forgives all her stupidity," she said with teary eyes while Aastha remained in shocked to hear her mother words.

"Don't worry maa, I will take a good care of her but tell me about you. These guys have taken care you properly na." Shlok asked intentionally so that Aastha could feel some fear of him.

"Yes beta they are so good." her mother, replied when Aastha became anxious for her

"Ok Aastha we should go to home now, maa my man also drop you at hospital. You should take care yourself also. I am waiting for you impatiently that when will you be healthy and come to live with us," he said with smile and warmness in his tone.

"Ok beta it would be nice, both you should go. This is your special day," she said in happy tone

Shlok moved towards Aastha "dear let's go in your love nest" he smirked and holds Aastha hand and went out from the room.
